It was the day of the party and Ezra was a ball of nerves. The school was abuzz with excitement for the first football game of the season and another famous Scott party. Lucy Jane spent all of lunch talking about the party and what to expect. She went on and on about hooking Ezra up with a cute guy making Sean snort out a laugh. Ezra told herself she would tell Lucy Jane the truth, but there just hadn't been a moment's peace to get the information out. She knew she could trust her with this secret, as well as, Mason. "Be prepared for some fuck shit to go down tonight," Sean whispered to her as they exited the cafeteria. Ezra looked at him and he gave a knowing look before motioning towards Owen and Charlotte. Ezra nodded before heading to class.
The game didn't start until 7pm giving Ezra more than enough time to hide important and expensive items around the house and lock all of the bedroom doors. Jackson and Jacob were making last minute runs for the party, while Jace prepped for the game with his team. Lucy Jane was coming over to ride with Ezra to the stadium and that was when Ezra was going to tell her the whole truth. As she locked the sun room, Ezra heard the doorbell ring. Marisol had let Lucy Jane in with a bright smile. "This house is amazing," Lucy Jane said in her thick southern accent. "It really is. I'm blessed to be here." Lucy Jane stood wide eyed in the hallway. "Shit, you and me both. I never thought I'd have the luxury of visiting the Scott mansion. I couldn't make it to last year's party."
"Well now you're here and more than welcome anytime as my bestie." Lucy Jane smiled happily at that. "Come on, I'll show you my room." Lucy Jane gawked at the large room that could fit two of her already large bedrooms in it. "You are living your best life, honey." Ezra laughed heartily. "Hey, I'm broke. This isn't mine." Lucy Jane shook her head. "It is because these folks love and care about you. I'm happy for you, bestie. Now dish...what is it like living next door to the three hottest guys in the entire school?" Ezra sighed loudly before playing with her hair. "I have to tell you something." LJ opened her eyes wide. "I'm dating-" Ezra was quickly interrupted. "Jackson! I knew it! I've seen the way he looks at you in the cafeteria and in Ms. Gatlin's class. Oh, honey, I'm happy for you. He's so big and sexy."
Ezra chuckled before continuing. "I was going to say before I was so rudely interrupted that I'm dating Jackson...and Jacob...and Jace." Lucy Jane stared at her unblinking. "Say something, LJ." The squeal that was let out could be heard from miles away. "My baby!!! You said give me all the men! You said I'll take blondie number one, two and three! You said-" Ezra covered Lucy Jane's mouth. "Are you done?" Lucy Jane nodded with a chuckle. "I never thought I'd see the day that Jacob was in a relationship with a woman or that Jace was in a relationship at all. But if anyone was going to bring those boys to their knees it'd be you, honey. You deserve this." Ezra smiled at her friend. "Thanks, LJ. I've wanted to tell you since the beginning, but so much has happened. You can't say anything. I don't want to risk their parents finding out and me getting moved."
"I get it girl. Your secret is safe with me." The girls talked about what they expected the night to consist of and Lucy Jane could tell Ezra was nervous. "You have nothing to worry about. We're going to have a few drinks. Reenact the scenes from the 'Best Friend' video and go about our business." Ezra laughed as she made her way to her closet. "So, bestie, what are we wearing for tonight." Lucy Jane brought out the outfit she had packed for the game and party and laid it out on the bed. "Oh, bitch, you cute." Ezra eyed the black and white minidress that would show off Lucy Jane's legs. "What about you?" Ezra went into her closet and came out with a pair of dark skinny jeans and a cross wrap tribal print bandeau top. "That outfit is sexy, boo. Your boyfriends are going to go crazy."
"You think so?" Lucy Jane nodded as they headed towards the kitchen to relax and snack before getting ready. "Call us if you need anything," Pierre instructed as he fried a new batch of wings. Both he and Marisol were well aware of the notorious Scott parties and prepared accordingly. "Everything that needs to be hidden is. Please make sure you look after the boys. They get lost at these things." Marisol informed before assisting Pierre with the sandwiches. "I can't believe you're cooking for these fools." Ezra said as she grabbed a chicken tender. "I like the praise I get from your classmates. Kids can be so picky, but my cooking is always a hit." Pierre smiled with pride causing Marisol to roll her eyes.
The four of them talked and Ezra got the run down on how the boys behaved at these things. "They're all the center of attention at these things, so their egos get a little inflated. They behave the way I imagine they do for the masses and not the way they behave towards us here at home. Don't take it personally, mija." Ezra smiled at Marisol before nodding. "Well, it's time for us to get ready." Lucy Jane announced. "You two have fun and be careful. Ezra, all you'll have to do is take out the sandwiches. Everything else will be in the warmers already setup in the dining room." Ezra nodded at Pierre before following LJ upstairs.
They were dressed in no time and spent the extra five minutes taking snaps and pictures. Ezra sent a pic of herself posed seductively to the guys in the group chat and was immediately met with emojis ranging from drooling to eggplants. "Let's go. I want good seats." Ezra said as they made their way to the garage. "I love your car." Lucy Jane smiled as she melted into the seat. Ezra laughed at her friend as the made their way to the stadium.
