Mariin kong tinignan si Captain Zenia nang sabihin niya yan. All members of Luna are gathered in one room except for Xaria, she's being treated by other mages in other room.
Nagtama ang mata namin ng Captain. I know there's something wrong. Everyone was asking what happened.
It's a mystery between Menoa, Centro and Luna.
Lumabas si Captain Zenia sa silid matapos umiwas ng tingin sa akin.
Maraming kama sa silid na kinasasadlakan namin. Wala na ang sugat dahil sa mahika ng mga healing mages. But, Xaria is still unconscious. That's what I've heard.
"Dalawa kayong Vice captain ni Nazzi, Mr. Froilan. Bakit wala kang nagawa kanina?"
Well, it's true. Pnevmas is composed of members of Agios and Luna. In terms of power, Nazzi and I are equal in hierarchy. We're both Junior Vice Captain.
Tumingin ako kay Mavic saglit at umiling. Just hearing his voice makes me smirk.
"Yeah,and you can control people's senses Mr. Vane, but why does you've used your powers only on Ms. Menoa while you're just staring at us while battling with Ms. Zenia?"
Ngumisi siya sa tanong ko. Habang patagal nang patagal parang angdaming mga tao na nagtatangka ng masama sa mga Menoa.
Kabilang ako doon....
"What happened Mavic?"
Napabaling ako kay Nazzi nang lumapit siya kay Mavic —the one who make Xaria unconscious.
I look at Mavic. His face is like no life at all.
"She just pointed her sword on Captain Zenia, that's why I meddled."
I sigh. Not contented of his answer. I know something is up. Idagdag pa si Zedrick na pumunta pa talaga sa itim na gubat tangkaing patayin lang si Xaria.
Lumabas ako ng silid para magpahangin. Tinanggal ko ang dalawa sa pinakataas na butones ng polo na suot ko.
I heard a footsteps from my back,
"Deiou!"
Tinanggal ko ang ngisi sa labi ko nang tawagin ako ni Adri. She's holding a white handkerchief, I know there's a small symbol of it if you'll look closely.
Centro.....
The heck is wrong with this woman?
"You seems holding back before, you're the one who've protected Xaria, Am I right?"
Ngumisi ako sa tanong niya, hindi ko alam na mapapansin niya pa yun. I've used all my mana before to protect Xaria. The shield I've used is invisible, that's why it's more compact, and it needs my attention.
But things gotten more confusing now, Adri who wants to protect Xaria's family during in execution was now completely sided with Centro.
"That's none of your business." malamig na sabi ko sa tanong niya .
Pero bigla akong nangisi at nilagay ang hintuturo ko sa baba ko.
"Oh, I remember, You intentionally doesn't include her on your spell circle so she could die because of cold," may sarkasmo ang boses ko na tinawanan siya. "But, don't mind me, it's not my business."
Kita ko ang pagkurap ng mata niya at pagkuyom ng kamao.
Inalis ko ang hintuturo ko sa baba ko at sineryoso ang mukha ko.
"Don't mess with me Adri.... You'll never like it."
Mabilis ang pagtalikod ko at sikretong pagkuyom ng kamao.
The only clue I have why Adri is here except from she's part of Pnevmas is that,
She's here to kill Xaria.
