Harry's next lesson was not for a few days. It was a nice day outside so we thought we would take a walk outside for a little bit.

"Beautiful day." Hermoine said as we walked out of the castle.

"Gorgeous," Ron said. "Unless of course you've been ripped to pieces!" Ron yelled.

"Ripped to pieces? What are you talking about?" Harry asked.

"Ronald has lost his rat." Hermoine said not amused.

"I haven't lost anything!" Ron protested. "Your cat killed him."

"Rubbish." Hermoine spat back.

"Harry, Lily, you've seen the way that bloodthirsty beast of hers is always lurking about. And scabbers is gone. Right Lily?" Ron asked.

"Leave me out of this." I laughed.

"Well maybe you should learn to take better care of your pet!" Hermoine said.

"Your cat killed him!" Ron said.

"Did not!" Hermoine said. I looked over at Harry who looked less than amused.

"Let's just find Hagrid." I said. When we got close to his hut we heard rocks on the lake. We walked over to find Hagrid skipping stones.

"Oh hey you lot." Hagrid said, sounding sad.

"Hagrid, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Buckbeak's hearing was today." Hagrid sniffed.

"How did it go, Hagrid? The hearing?" Hermoine asked.

"Well first off, the committee members took turns talking about why we were there. Then I got up and did my piece. Said how Buckbeak was a good hippogriff who always cleaned his feathers. And then Lucius Malfoy got up. Well, you can imagine he said Buckbeak was a deadly and dangerous creature. Who would kill you as soon as he looked at you." Hagrid said annoyed.

"And then?" Hermoine asked.

"And then he asked for the worst old Lucius did." Hagrid said.

"They're not sacking you!:" Ron protested.

"No, I'm not sacked. Buckbeak's been sentenced to death!" Hagrid walked away.

"Oh Hagrid." Hermoine said.

"Thanks for the visit. I would rather be alone now though." Hagrid said.

We all looked at eachother and thought it would be best to leave. No one said anything on the way up to the castle. When it was time for dinner we sat and ate and said nothing.

"I think I am going to go up to bed." I said when we got back to the dorm.

"Same." Said everyone else.

The next morning I had divinations. Hermoine had walked out of the class because the Professor annoyed her and I wish I would have done the same. Harry had gone back to give the crystal ball back that Hermoine had knocked off.

"We should go see Hagrid. Buckbeak's execution is today." I said as we walked to the great hall.

"Smart idea." Hermoine said.

As we walked through the courtyard we saw who seemed to be the executioner sharpening his hook.

"I can't believe they're going to kill Buckbeak, it is just too horrible." Hermoine said as we exited the bridge.

"It just got worse." Ron said as we saw Draco and his goons standing there watching.

Hrmoine ran down the stairs.

"Look who's here." One said.

"Ah come to see the show?" Draco asked.

"You! You foul, loathsome evil little cockroach!" Hermoine yelled, pointing her wand at him.

"Hermione no. He is not worth it." Ron said. Hermoine put her wand down. Draco let out a laugh. Hermoine turned around and punched him right in the nose. Draco went running out of fear.

"That felt good." Hermoine said.

"Not good, brilliant." Ron said.

As we finished the walk down to Hagrids we saw Buckbeak tied up in the garden.

"Look at him. Loves the smell of the trees when the wind blows through them." Hagrid said as he got us tea.

"Why don't we just set him free?" Harry asked.

"They'd know it was me. Then Dumbledore would get into trouble. He's coming down, Dumbledore. Says he wants to be with me when they...When it happens. Great man Dumbledore." Hagrid said.

"We'll stay with you too Hagrid." Hermoine said.

"You'll do no such thing! Think I want you lot seeing something like that? No. You just drink your tea and be off. Oh. before you do Ron." Hagrid said going over and pulling something out of a pot.

"Scabbers! You're alive!" Ron said, going to grab his rat.

"Keep a closer eye on your pets Ron." Hagrid said.

"I think you owe someone an apology." Hermione said.

"Right. Next time I see Crookshanks, I'll let him know." Ron said.

"I meant me!" Hermoine said. She stopped to look at a vase that broke.

"Blimey. What was that?" Hagrid asked.

Hermoine reached over and picked up a stone.

"Ow!" Harry said as a stone hit him in the head.

"Hagrid!" Harry said.

"Oh, crikey. It's late. It's nearly dark. You shouldn't be here. Someone sees you outside the castle this time of night. You'll be in trouble. Particularly you Harry." Hagrid said. Someone knocked at the door. "Be with you in a moment." Hagrid called.

"Quick, Quick!" He said, shoving us towards the door.

"Hagrid. It will be fine. It will be ok." Harry said before leaving. We went into the garden and hid behind some pumpkins. A twig snapped and Hermoine turned around fast.

"What?" Harry asked.

"I thought I just saw..Never mind." She said turning back.

"We should go." Ron said as we started to run towards the castle. When we got to the rocks we stopped. The executor came out and raised his hook and brought it down.

Scabbers bit Ron causing him to drop him.

"I am going to go, I don't feel so good." I said as they ran to get scabbers.
