Chapter 25: The First Task

Harry looked at me then walked away. I stayed staring at the fire hoping maybe Dad would come back. I write to him all the time but I rarely get a response. Then Harry gets put in the Triwizard tournament (Which sucks for him) and Dad comes running!

"Lily?" A voice asked, shaking me. I opened my eyes to see Geroge looking at me.

"Hi." I said sitting up.

"Did I fall asleep here?" I asked.

"It would seem so." He said sitting dow lightly by my feet.

"What time is it?" I asked, looking around. I looked outside and saw light.

"7:30." He responded.

"Crap!" I said getting up. "I have been here since 1 pm yesterday!" I said. "How come no one woke me?"

"Honestly it did not really seem like anyone saw you laying there. I mean I saw you and would come check on you but I did not stay long. I felt kind of like a stalker." He laughed. I smillied

"Is today the first task?" I asked.

"Yes. It starts at 8. So we should head down." George said.

As we walked to the arena I saw Hermoine and Ron sitting in seats. I saw Fred waving at George.

"Go sit with him, I will see you after." I said, giving him a small smile. He gave me a quick kiss then ran off to sit with his brother.

As I walked over to Ron and Hermoine I saw Ron laugh.

"What?" I asked sitting down.

"Keep that up and I may have another sister. But this one would be in-law." He laughed.

I rolled my eyes and fought down the urge to punch him which seemed to grow everyday.

Cedric was the first to come out with Dragon who looked crazy.

He tried to transform a rock into a dog to keep the dragons occupied but it only worked for a small amount of time. The dragon had decided it wanted to go after Cedric instead of the dog. All of the sudden the dragon breathed fire and caught Cedric on fire.

I let out a gasp. People were there putting it on in a second. He raised his hand showing that he had the egg.

After what seemed like forever it was finally Harry's turn.

He came out looking very confused. His dragon charaged straight at him. He tried to accio something and I did not see it until his broom came flying at him.

"He is going to fly of course." Hermoine said as if annoyed that she did not think of it.

Harry was flying around and almost got him. I heard Fred yell "Well done Dragon!" I laughed a little. Harry flew out of the arena and the Dragon.

"Where did he go?" Everyone asked, looking around. When he came back he got the egg and the dragon was nowhere in sight. Krum and Harry had tied for first place and Cedric came in second and Fluer came in last.

"Good job Harry!" I said as we went to find him after words.

"You did great mate!" Ron said. I guess at some point last night they had mayde up or maybe Ron was just trying to be nice.

I was deep in a conversation when Professor Mcgonagall came up to us looking frantic.

"Lily, come quick please." She said,

"Why what's wrong?" I asked. She looked around at my friends.

"It's fine you can tell them they know almost everything." I said.

"Well your dad and a very angry black dog are in the headmaster's office with Snape." She said,
