Chapter 4: Care Of Magical Creatures

"Lily wake up." Hermione said, shaking me lightly.

"I am up." I said sitting up.

"What class do you have first today?" She asked fixing her hair.

"Uh, Divination I think." I said getting out of bed.

"Great me too." She smiled in the mirror.

On our way out into the great hall I saw Geroge standing there.

"Hello Miss.Lupin." He said turning to me.

"Hello George." I said walking to him and stopping.

"I was wondering if you wanted to walk to breakfast with me?" He asked, looking down on me as he towered over me by a few inches.

I gave a glance towards Hermoine and she smiled.

"I would love to." I said.

"Great." He said holding out his arm for me to take it.

"Really?" I asked taking his arm.

"But of course. We must go to breakfast in style." He said walking.

"We must of course." I laughed.

"How did you sleep?" He asked me.

"Great the beds here are absolutely amazing!" I squealed.

"They are, I swear Dumbledore has put some spell on them so that they are amazing." He said looking off.

"Maybe." I said laughing.

"Well we are at out stop. I hope to see you again." He said, kissing my hand and walking off.

I turned my head to the side to watch him walk off.

"He so likes you." Hermoine said as she walked up beside me.

"I think he does." I said walking into the great hall together.

As we sat at the table I looked towards the table to see Lupin talking to Snape.

After a short breakfast and a long devenitions period we were walking down to Hagrid's hut for care of magical creatures.

I followed Harry, Ron and Hermoine down the stairs. I tuned out but from what I could hear they were talking about Divintations and the fortune that Harry got.

"That's it, come on now." Hargid said standing on the steps of his hut as Gryffindors and Slytherins grouped together. "Less talking if you please. I got a real treat for you today. A great lesson so follow me." He said walking off the steps of his hut and into the forest.

"Hermoine, isn't this the forbidden forest?" I asked as we walked deeper into it.

"Yes it is. But as long as we stay with Hagrid we will be fine." She said walking ahead.

After some walking Hagrid led us into a clearing.

"Right, you lot. Less chatering. For a group over there and open your books to page 49." HAgrid said point to where it looked like a tree had been knocked over so it could be a seat.

"And how exactly do we do that?" Draco asked.

"You stroke the spin o'course." Hagrid said amused.

"I think there funny." Hermoine said to the 3 of us.

"Oh yeah terribly funny, really witty. God this place has gone to the dogs. Wait until my father hears that Dumbledores got this oaf teaching classes." Draco said as some Slytherins laughed.

I held my tongue back. While he was my cousin he had no idea that we were related. I did not have to wait long because Harry stepped in.

"Shut up Malfoy." Harry said, walking closer.

Draco made a ghost-like sound and walked closer to Harry.

Draco started looking really scared and pointed and yelled "Dementor, Dementor!" As he pointed at something behind Harry. Harry turned fast to see but saw nothing. Draco and other Slytherins laughed as they pulled up their hoods and made sounds and wiggled their arms at Harry. Hermoine walked forward and grabbed Harry. My eyes lingered on Draco.

"What are you staring at mudblood?" He asked me.

"Your stupidness and your disrespectfulness." I said.

"Who are you? Why are you relevant?" He asked me.

I walked closer to him and stuck out my hand "Lily B-Lupin." I said correcting myself fast. "I don't think we have had the displeasure of meeting." I said smiling.

"Miss. Lupin!" Hagrid called. I walked forward to stand with Hermione.

"That was amazing." She whispered to me.

"That was nothing." I said, turning to face Hagrid as he talked about the lesson.
