Chapter 89: Death

When Blasie and I arrived at the great hall the doors were open. We walked in and saw bodys everywhere. I saw a cluster of red hair. I saw one was missing an ear. George! George was alright!

"George!" I called running to him. He turned around in time to catch me.

"Oh Lily." He cried into my hair.

"George, what's wrong? I am ok." I said.

"Fred." He said. I looked down to see Fred was laying there dead.

"Oh my-" I said, taking in a sharp breath. I felt a tear go down my face.

"Molly, Arthur I am so sorry." I said looking at his body.

"Lily, look." George said, turning my head to look to the left. I looked down and saw Lupin and Tonks laying there dead.

"No!" I cried out breaking free of George and falling to Lupin's side.

"No! You promised me you would stay alive." I cried into Lupin."You promised Remus. You told me-" I said but my crying was too hard to understand what I was saying. "I will protect Teddy. I promise. I promise you both I will protect him until my last breath." I said, still crying.

"Lily I am so sorry." Harry said. I turned to see him standing there.

"Go kill Voldemort. And make him pay for all the death he has caused." I said. Harry walked out of the Great Hall. Followed by Ron, and Hermoine.

I sat crying by Remus' body until we heard a bomming sound outside. George helped me up and we walked outside to see what it was. Voldemort was walking up with death eaters. Hagrid had someone in his arms.

"Who is Hagrid caring?" Ginny asked. "Neville, who is it?"

"Harry Potter is dead!" Voldemort yelled. I felt myself go weak. I held onto George. I let out a whimper

"Harry Potter is dead from this day forth you put your faith in me." Voldemort said. "Harry Potter is dead!" he called again and the death eaters laughed. I saw Lucius and Narcissa. They both looked....tired.

"And now is the time to declare yourself. Come forward and join us or die." Voldemort said.

No one moved.

"Draco." Lucius called. I turned to see Draco standing in the back.

"Draco." Narcissa called. "Come." She said, Draco started walking down.

"Draco don't." I said walking forward but Geroge caught me. "Draco!" I called but Draco continued to walk forward and had an awkward hug with Voldemort.

"Well done Draco. Lily." Voldemort said. I turned to him. "Join me." He said.

"Why would I join you?" I asked.

"I have seen you, you have the potential to become very powerful. With my help." He smiled. "I would also get the pleasure of saying I had almost every Black at my side. Well every living Black." He laughed.

"I would never join you. My father and the man who raised me and his wife did not die just for me to join you." I spat.

"So be it, I will kill you today, no I will give Bellatrix that honor." He smiled. Bellatrix laughed. "Then I will go slay Andromeda where she is and get young Teddy Lupin and raise him to be the most powerful wizard besides me." He said.

"No!" I said running forward but Geroge caught me. "If you so much as touch a hair on Teddy's head I will kill you." I yelled..

"All in good time." He smiled. "Anyone else want to join me?" He asked.

I turned into Geroge.

"Shh. It's alright." He said. I heard the death eaters laughing and turned to see Neville walking forwards.

"Who might you be?" Voldemort asked.

"Neville Longbottom." He said.

"Well Neville Longbottom I am sure we can find a place for you in our ranks." Voldemort said.

"I would like to say something. Doesn't matter that Harrys gone, People die every day. Friends, Family, Yeah we lost Harry tonight. But he is still with us in here." He said pointing to his heart. "So is Fred, Remus, Tonks, Sirius, all of them. They didn't die in vain. But you will. Because you're wrong, Harry's heart did beat for us. All of us!" Neville said, pulling out the sword of Gryffindor.

Just then Harry rolled out of Hagrid's arms. It all happened in a second but Draco ran across and threw Harry his wand. I saw Draco coming and held out my hand. He grabbed it and I pulled him in.

"I am sorry Lily." He said.

"It's ok." I said.

"Lily, come one." George said, grabbing my arm. I grabbed Draco and we ran.
