Chapter 67: Christmas Party

The Holidays were fast approaching. I spend more time with the Slytherins. Harry got angrier the more time I spent with them. Hermoine said she was fine with it just as long as I was careful. Ron did not care.

Slughorn was throwing a christmas party for the Slug Club. I of course was to attend. I wore a red short dress that was sparkly.

"You look beautiful." Blaise said when I saw him at the party.

"Thank you." I said.

It was a fun party. I talked with Blaise some then went to Hermoine, then back to Blasie and so on. It was almost over when Flich came in dragging Draco.

"Take your hands off me you filthy squib." Draco said in his grasp.

"Professor Slughorn, Sir. I just discovered this boy lurking in an upstairs corridor. He claims to have been invited to your party." he said Draco looks at me. I frown.

"Ok,Ok. I was gatecrashing. Happy?" Draco said.

"I'll escort him out." Snape said.

"Certainly, professor." Draco said, giving me one last look.

"All right, everyone, carry on, carry on." Slughorn said.

I looked around to make sure no one saw me and I followed Snape and Draco out.

"Maybe I did hex that Bell girl." I heard Draco say. "Maybe I didn't. What's it to you?"

"I swore to protect you." Snape said. I looked to see Snape holding Draco against the wall. "I made the Unbreakable Vow."

"I don't need protection." Draco said. "I was chosen for this. Out of all others. Me." Draco said. This task must be what he was warning me about to stay safe.

"And I won't fail him." He said.

"You're afraid, Draco.' Snape said. "You attempt to conceal it, but it's obvious. Let me assist you." Snape offered. Help with what?

"No! I was chosen. This is my moment." He said voices stopped and I turned to leave.

"Miss Black." A voice said I turned to see Snape.

"Professor." I said.

"Come here Black." Snape said and I walked forward.

"What did you hear?" He asked.

"Nothing. I was just going to the bathroom." I smiled.

"Don't play dumb. What do you know." He said pinning me to the wall.

"Nothing. I swear." I said getting fidgety.

"Professor let her go." Draco said fiercely.

"What does she know Draco? Do I need to kill her? What does she know?" He asked again.

"Nothing. She knows nothing. I have told her nothing." Draco says.

"Fine if you're lying to me she will die, do you understand?" He said to Draco still holding me against the wall.

"Ahh, Lily there you are." Harry said, walking over. "I was looking for where you went. Good evening professor." Harry smiled.

"Potter? What are you doing out here?" Snape asked. Still holding me to the wall.

"Just looking for her." He said monioning to me. Snape let me go. Harry quickly grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him. "Thanks, we will be going now." Harry said, turning to leave pulling me behind him. I followed him.

"Thank you." I said when we rounded the corner. I pulled him in for a hug. "I am sorry. You're right you are my brother." I said.

"I know I am sorry too. Now lets go before Snape comes after us." Harry said, taking my hand again and pulling me back towards the party.
