Chapter 27: The Killers Daughter

"Yesterday." Lupin said.

"Sirius came to find me and showed me we knew we had to come. I asked him not to stay. I did not want to ruin his freedom either but he insisted." Lupin said.

"They think I will become a killer?" I said my voice sounded very small. No one answered.

"They think I am a killer?" I whispered again but started laughing. Everyone looked at me. "They think I will kill someone? Me who can't even kill a fly?" I kept laughing. "They think I am crazy. I don't blame them. I come from a long line of Blacks. Do you know that they have been suspected of inbreeding?" I asked and looked around and everyone's faces looked numb.

"Oh yeah not on dad's side though I think on his mom's brother's side. I don't know. But they think that's why my second cousin Bellatrix is so crazy!" I said laughing.

"Lily?" Lupin asked. "Are you ok?"

"Am I ok? No Remus I am not ok! My biggest secret was just broadcasted to the whole world! My life is-... I don't even know." I said. "Thank you Snivellus for blowing up my life and making everyone think I will be a killer." I said grabbing the paper and walking out of the office,

I walked through the halls numb. Everyone around me was celebrating but I was not. I walked to the Gryffindor common room where there was a party. I ended as soon as I walked in. Everyone turned to look at me.

"Well don't stop on my account." I said walking through the room. Eyes followed me. "So I take it you all saw the article?" I asked, holding it up. Silence. "Yeah that's what I thought. You know, I am more than his daughter, I am human, I am not a killer and I am not the daughter of a killer! And now the likelihood of me killing is very slim!" I said walking up the stairs.

"Lily?" I heard a voice call. I turned to see Geroge standing there. "I am so sorry." he said, bringing me in for a hug.

"I-" I started.

"What?" He asked.

"I saw my dad. My dad was here. He risked everything to confront Snape." I said crying into his shoulder.

"Oh Lily. Is he ok? Did he get out?" George asked.

"I told him to leave so I think he left and got out safely." I said.

"Good good." George said.

"I am going to go to bed. I am so drained." I said, finishing the walk up the stairs.

Care of magical creatures was a mess the next day. The Skrewts were crazy. He said something about not hibernating? I have no clue. Needless to say my robe was ruined.

I walked back to the dorm with Hermoine.

"Did you hear professor Mcgonagall wanted us to meet in her class room? Something about an announcement?" She said as I pulled on a different robe.

"No, I didn't hear that. We should head down right after we are done getting changed." I said. She gave a nod.

When we walked down the stairs I saw Gerorge.

"Oy Lily!" He called.

I turned to Hermoine. "I will see you there?" I said and she nodded. I walked over to Geroge.

"There's my girlfriend." He said picking me up and spinning me.

"What's this about?" I laughed as he gave me a quick kiss.

"Not much just how much I-" He started but stopped.

"Did you almost?" I started but stopped.

"Geroge, Lily lets go!" Fred called.

George let go of me and took my hand and followed Fred. Was he about to say he loved me? I thought as we walked.

"Boys on one side, girls on the other!" Mcgonigall called.

"Bye." George said with a quick kiss and he walked off.

I walked in a daze to sit beside Hermoine.

"Are you ok?" She asked.

"I think Geroge just almost said he loved me." I said looking straight ahead.
