I missed breakfast but made it just in time for the quidditch game. It was quite cold out. It was Ron's second game and he was very excited. Blaise smiled when he saw me and gave me a wave.
The Gryffindors won the game by a lot. Blaise found me after the game.
"You came." He said.
"I did." I said.
"Would you like to come with me to the Slytherin common room? We could hang out there." He said.
"The Slytherin common room. But I am a Gryffindor, surely that would not go over well." I said."Why would you care what people think? People have their friends or lovers over all the time." He laughed.
"Yeah ok I guess." I said following him.
"Why are you being so friendly with me." I said.
"I want to get to know you, nothing more. We are both part of the Slug club." he said.
"Ah yes, The only reason I am in it is because my uncle was in it. He tried to get my father but he said no. He was stubborn." I laughed.
"Yes, I am sorry about his passing," he said.
"It's alright." I said."How did he die?" He asked.
"By my cousin of all people. I really don't want to talk about it though." I said."Of Course. You have a strange family." he laughed.
"I do indeed." I said."Here we are the Slytherin common room." He said. It was a stone wall. Blaise whispered a word to it and it opened. We walked in and there were people everywhere. They all looked at me. I suddenly became very aware of myself.
I looked around the common room. It was mainly greens and blacks. Not surprising. It was very cold but warm at the same time. We took a seat by the fire.
"I told you they would not like my being here." I said."I don't care what they think." he said. A girl with black hair walked over and sat next to Blaise.
"Hi I am Pansy." She said,"Li-" I said but was cut off.
"I know who you are. Everyone in this room knows who you are." She said, "You're kinda a legend around here. Legacy if you will."
"Great. My reputation." I said.
"Yes but not for what you think. Come." She said, holding out her hand. I took it and she took me over to a wall.
"What is this?" I asked, looking over the pictures.
"This is the wall of legendary Slytherins. You have Salazar of course, then Tom Riddle, Then Walaburga, Cygnus, Orion, Druell, Then we have Bellatrix, Rodolphus, Narcissa, Lucius, Regulus and lastly Draco." She said, I looked at the wall.
"My family." I said.
"Yes, this is the reason you're famous. Almost every Black member has been in Slytherin. Except you and your dad. What is different about you?" She asked.
"I don't know." I said. "So I am not known for my reputation around school but for-" I said but was cut off.
"For being a legacy child, A black family member." Blaise said.
"Wow, I did not know that." I said. "I thought you all hated me." I said."Why would we hate you?" Pansy asked.
"Because I am a Gryffindor?" I said.
"Yes, that is unfortunate. You could have been so powerful." She sighed. "Plus you're super rich which always goes over well with Slytherins." She winked."Yes she could have, now leave her alone Pansy." Blaise said, directing my back to the chairs by the fire.
"Hey, I want to get to know her too. She seems fun." She said sitting beside me.
"I don't have a lot of friends who are girls." She said,
"Shocking." I said . She laughed.
"You should come here more often." She said
"Maybe I will. I like it here." I said.
"Really?" Blaise asked.
"Yes, really." I said. "I feel...a connection to it? Does that make sense? I know it sounds kinda strange but I do." I said."Maybe you can feel your ancestors before you here." Pansy laughed.
"Maybe." I said.
"For what it's worth I think you would have made a great Slytherin." Blasie said.
"I think I would have too." I said looking around.
