Little by little, without realizing it, the church is losing its identity. She is retreating instead of attacking! Many people are lost in the world, needing healing, deliverance, refreshment... We are entering a phase where only the church can make a difference. People will go to church, but not to be healed, delivered, or anything else... they will go to church to fill the void in their hearts.
The good news is that we don't have to wait for them. We can go to them! God looks for two types of people: those who are thirsty for His presence and thirsty for souls. This is summed up in a single verse: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
When we understand this, we are thirsty for God and automatically thirsty for souls, because Jesus died for everyone. (Mark 16:15)
