"Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build; unless the Lord keep the city, the watchman watches in vain."
Psalm 127:1
When we build a house, there is an architect, who plans what it will look like. Everything needs to be in its proper place with the right measures, otherwise everything could come crashing down.
Here God is talking about another house, not the material house, where we live with our family.
Our body is a house, a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit, where the kingdom of God is planned. (1 Corinthians 6:19; Luke 17:21)
If we are not built by the Lord, within us there will be no healing, we will have no gifts, there will be no deliverance... To enter into what God has for us, we need to let Him build our life. (Psalm 127:1)
The Holy Spirit will reveal to us how to do this, however, He is jealous of us. So we need to surrender completely, if we have nothing in the world. (1 Corinthians 2:10-12; Galatians 2:19-20; James 4:5)
To keep your house built, it is necessary to live in the Spirit, praying in the Spirit at all times, hour after hour... (Ephesians 6:18)
