"There'll be happiness after you
But there was happiness because of you."

Avni opened her eyes gradually, her mouth felt dry, she sat up with her eyes closed, when she opened her eyes she felt everything spinning, she held her head in her hand trying to stop the dizziness, she sighed softly knowing it was the aftereffect of taking sleeping pills the first time.

She tried to collect her thoughts as the dizziness faded a little.

"Avni! You are awake!" Mrs Mehta's voice filled her ears, "Nurse call the doctor." she called out, Avni closed her ears at the loud voice and opened her eyes.

The cream coloured room with minimal yet beautiful detailing stared back at her, she squinted her eyes to adjust to the dim light of the room. Avni pushed away from the white duvet from her leg as Mrs Mehta entered the room with a man in his late forties, his black hairs now consisting of silvers.

"Hello, Ms Mehta I'm Dr Abhiraj Gupta, how are you feeling?"

"Peachy," Avni replied, she glanced at Mrs Mehta who was standing beside Dr Gupta, her golden saree which she had seen her in yesterday was crumbled, her phone laid beside the cream sofa which was in the room.

"That's good, the accident you were in was nothing fatal, fortunately." Avni grimaced like she didn't know that, she was the one who had planned it, "You just have a scratch on your forehead, and you had fainted because of the impact of the accident but now you are good to go."

"Dr Gupta, is she really well to go? Is there's still anything you need to treat?" Mrs Mehta asked, Avni didn't look at her, she tried to look past her to find Mr Mehta, the kid inside her wanted to see her father even if the accident was fake was not he at least a little worried?

The disappointment clouded her features, she sighed once again, cursing herself.

"No not really Mrs Mehta, there can be some brain-related after effect of accidents like PTSD but I don't see any of those symptoms in Ms Mehta, she is very stable right now. You can start doing the discharge procedure." Dr Gupta informed Mrs Mehta who smiled in satisfaction and moved towards her bed as Dr Gupta exited the room.

Avni watched her steps stiffly, she raised her hands to stop her when she felt her too close to her, "Please, I don't want to be rude considering you seemed to have stayed here to take care of me while I was unconscious but please do me a favour just go and do the discharge procedure, I will change while you are gone." she informed her and looking away from her.

"Okay. . .okay I will go. . .there are few clothes on the sofa, there are of Aman since he had dropped them before going to college, you know how he is." she forced a laugh, Avni nodded, she was pretty sure Aman would burn the clothes after she returns it to him.

She got up from the bed as Mrs Mehta exited the room and picked up the pile of clothes under which her phone was. She relaxed and picked it up calling DD's number, she was surprised when he picked it up in the first ring. DD never picked up the phone on the first ring.

"Avni! You woke up, I was waiting for you!" DD immediately exclaimed, "You are okay right?"

"Yeah I'm, did you find something?" Avni asked as she locked the door of the room, and removed the hospital's uniform's pants and slid Aman's sweatpant through her legs, her mobile pressed between her shoulder and ears.

"Yes I did." DD replied, his voice tense, she waited for him to continue while sliding the other leg through the sweatpants. "When can you meet me?"

"You are in college, right? Complete your classes I will pick you up."
