Chapter 13:

Our match is today!! We're versus The Archwood girls today. We haven't won against them ever since 2003, a long time ago! "We can do it this time," Ms. Rittler told us last night at the practice. "We are very talented team." Indeed we are and we have to win it!

"Pumped?" Allysse asks as I pull my hair into a tight pony-tail.

"Duh!" I say. There's a knock on the door. Allysse go to open it while I put on my football shoes.

"Hey, Aly!" It's Mark.

"Hey, Marky!" Both of them hug. "Come on in!"

"Hey, Mark," I say.

"Hey, Kath! Ready for the match?"

"As I'll ever be!" I reply.

"You were so brilliant yesterday!" Allysse says to Mark. Mark smiles.

"Like I said, you are the won who should get the credit, you made me fire up, thanks Aly Boo!" Mark says, "So what do you have in store for us today?"

"Hopefully a win after so many years!" Allysse says.

"I know you can do it," Mark says. Right now, Mark and Allysse are so absorbed in each that I don't think they realize that I'm in here. Mark hugs Allysse and Allysse wraps her arms around him. "Don't be scared out there, just be came and to it and keep your hopes and aims high and just give in all you have and enjoy, success will come to you itself!" He whispers. They both don't move and then let go.

"So Romeo and Juliet, don't mean to interrupt but it's time for breakfast and we'll be late if we don't leave right now," I say.

"Oh umm..yeah," both say.

"Good luck," Mark says hugging Allysse.

"Thanks," Allysse says. The three of us go down stairs.

"Girls, you should hurry up with the food now!" Ms. Rittler says.

"Yes, Ms. Rittler," we reply. This is the fasted I've ever stuffed myself, 4 minutes.

"Good luck guys, bye!" Mrak hugs Allysse and says to us.

"Bye!" We reply and hurry up to the coach with our stuff.

(At theground)

"Right, girls! Just three rounds of the ground and then we get in the dressing-room, get ready and then come out and play!" Ms. Rittler says. So we all start running once Ms. Rittler whistles. The Archwood girls are here too.

"Hi, good luck for the match!" Allysse says to the opposing captain Silvia McBrien.

"You'll need it, you Ninnies," Silvia replies. Allysse continues running.

"Someone's proud! I'll show her who Ninnies are over here," Allysse says. Allysse's fired up now and I bet she'll lead us well and prove everyone wrong! We pile up in the dressing-room and do the final planning. We come out too sing the national anthem and school anthems and then we begin. Allysse wins the toss and we start. Straight away at like the 27th second of the match I get the ball and I'm quite near Archwood's goal. I kick without a really good aim. We all watch it closely. The defender misses it and so does the goalie and the ball flies in the goal.

GOALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Tasmin Tigers strike and Davidson scores!"

"KATHY! KATHY! KATHY!"The crowd chant.

"Great one, Kath!" We have a quick celebration. It's unbelievable really! We are able to defend are goal and it's 1-0 in the last three minutes of the half. Silvia passes the ball to Olivia Greening and I steal the ball and run to the goal which isn't really guarded. Taking a good aim, I shoot. The goalie misses the ball by three yards and...GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

"And Davidson strikes again!"

"KATHY! KATHY! KATHY!"The whistle goes. Half time.

"Well played, Kath!" Ms. Rittler says. it's quite a celebration in here. But I still think we shouldn't take them easy, thy night just give us a tough time. We get out and get back in our positions. The referee blows his whistle and we start playing. The Archwood girls attack the goal but our goalie, Lucy Carring saves it with a great dive.

"Well done girl!" We praise her. Archwood gives it another try but Lucy doesn't let the ball pass her and enter her territory and throws the ball out. Allysse gets the ball she races to the Archwood goal and kicks. It misses. Keeper's kick. Allysse gets the ball, she kicks.....GOALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!

"And Patrickson scores! 3-0!"

"Allysse! Allysse! Our opponents now struggle they are nill against three! Oh my! We'll be the first ones to defeat them after twelve years!! Linda Scott passes the ball to Allysse, Allysse passes it to me. Two Archwood girls attack me, I pass it back to Allysse. Allysse runs hard, kicks. The ball beats the defenders and the goalie doesn't get the chance to defend it and..................GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Patrickson does it again!!"

"ALLYSSE! ALLYSSE!" I spot Mark in the crowd.

"Hat-trick, ALLYSSE?"He holds a poster.
