Chapter - 2

KRIST PERAWAT

I came early today. I went over to my desk, and made some phone calls. I barely talked while working since 2 days as I didn’t want to make anything worse.

After a while, my boss marched up to me and threw the file on my table.

“The cost sheet for commercial real estate projects over the past 2 years, you worked on it for 2 days. But there are 3 errors.”

“What have you done? Do we hire you to have fun? You have got no time to learn it slowly. Correct it and give it to me.” He looks really frustrated.

My face flushed. “How can it be? I checked it twice. There shouldn’t be errors.” I said, while checking shockingly.

My eyes got widened, when seeing those errors. I looked at him for a while. “I’ll correct it right away.” I said, feel embarrassed.

“I’ll see it tomorrow morning.” He said sternly.

“Huh?!! Tomorrow morning?” I asked shockingly. He gave me a stern look for a few more sec.

“Khun Lyla, come and do the minutes of a meeting.” He ordered.

“Got it, sir!” she said.

I made a pout, watching him go.

I was busy with fixing the errors till late evening as I had to hand over it tomorrow morning anyhow.

“What are you doing this late?”

“Ah! Khun Lyla. You scared me out.” I said with shocking face.

She grinned.

“It’s so late and you are still working? Go back early for some rest.” she said.

“It’s okay. I’m almost done. Khun Prachaya wants it urgently.” I smiled.

She checked the papers, “You are doing two sorts?” she asked.

I grinned. “I’m afraid I’ll give wrong data again. So, I’m doing it by two ways of sorting.”

She shook her head, grinning.

“I underestimated you. You’re also professional.” She said, smiling.

I smiled happily as I got compliment. “Thank you. You know, I’m a bit clumsy. I must work harder.” I said, grinning.

She smiled, “Are you done?”

“Almost”, I said.

“Let me drive you home. It’s too late.” She asked.

“Hmmm.” I nodded as yes, and we left.

Next morning, I went to boss’s office directly. He was doing work on his computer.

“Khun Prachaya. Here you are.” I handed him the file.

He was checking the file. “Is it okay, sir?” I asked.

“Hmmm, okay.” He said, and returned it to me.

“Make a file of the duration and land price for real estate projects, as big as Siam’s project. You have 3 days to complete it.” He said straightly.

My mouth dropped. “You mean…the project of other companies?”

“Yes, all projects.” He said.
