C33 - Wait for me

Sizhui held his breath as he touch the water. He miss his Jin Ling. He wanted to see what he was doing. Its been a year since he passed away but he was still there, in the Heavenly Realm, preparing himself for a big fight he will have to face. The barrier formation seems to be hard. Jiang Yanli was not for cultivation world. She does not have enough spiritual energy. Now, his aunt Wen Qing and Jin Zixuan are helping her to cultivate.

After he delivered the news to them, they were so eager and excited. But they didn't expect it to be hard. The barrier formation drained ten percent of spiritual energy in every use. They cannot continue learning the process if their energy won't come back immediately. Even though they are dead, their soul can still feel the exhaustion since the barrier formation was an incantation of the deities.

"Sizhui, we're here again." Voice of Jingyi was heard.

Sizhui stopped from thinking as soon as he saw Jingyi with Jin Ling beside him. They're at the ancestral hall again for a visit.

"Sizhui, look at what I brought today." Jingyi showed a bunch of toys made out of straw. He burned it together with some paper money. Sizhui never received those though. "You'd definitely like this. I met Senior Wen the other day when we go on night hunting. He's doing fine though I can still see how sad he is. He told me to tell you not to worry about him. I still urge other disciples to visit him sometimes and accompany him so we can lessen his loneliness somehow. You might be asking why he is alone. A-Yang went to pursue medicine. He told me he would be a great doctor I will be proud of. He was stupid, right? How about you? Are you happy there? I guess you are. You're with your family now. Senior Wei is with HanguangJun, they'll be leaving again soon. Going wherever they are needed. They sometimes stay here for a week or two then leave again wandering the world." Jingyi turned to Jin Ling. "I'm saying too much already. I know you miss him." He patted Jin Ling's shoulder and left him to give him some alone time.

Sizhui wanted to say he miss them too. So much.

"I miss you." Sizhui saw the tears started to beamed again on his lover's eyes. Jin Ling wiped it and continued, "A lot of things happened in Lanling. I'm sorry if I wasn't able to visit you last month. Uncle Cheng came to visit me a lot. Scaring those seniors again. They're trying to decide about my marriage for the second time but I won't marry. I decided not to get married. You might think I'm giving myself a hard time. What to do? You're the only one I love and will only love. I'm still thinking who could be my heir. Jin Chan just got back from his journey. He only left for five months yet he went back with a girl. I have no choice but to give him a grand wedding." Jin Ling paused for a moment. "A-Yuan, I-I miss you calling me A-Ling. Can you do that again, please? I love you."

"I love you too. Wait for me. I'll be there soon." Those are the words Sizhui wanted to tell him but he could only just utter it in the air. He also wanted to tell him that he knew everything that's happening and he was so hurt to see them blaming themselves even after a year since he passed.

"Yuan." Sizhui wiped his tears and face Min Jin. "You don't have to hold back. You are officially a Shen Dizi now. You're no longer a soul. You can visit them."

Min Jin was right. The moment Sizhui started his training, he was blessed with an overwhelmimg spiritual power. It took him time to control it. His clothes was different now too. He was already wearing the same clothing and headress as the deities. "But we are not allowed to interfere the humans." He muttered.

"Your case was different. We will allow you to show up to them but you cannot tell them yet that you will get back. You need to free their hearts from the burden of losing you. Your fated one may not free his but will surely feel better if he see you once again. Fulfill his request."
