C51 - Jealousy Part 1

The small farm at the back of the Wen's temporary residence at Nightless City was planted with differents seeds. It haven't grown yet but some already sprouted. Sizhui and Jin Ling found Wen Qing under the plum blossom tree, resting on a long seat with a back and arms as the small sunlight seeped through the branches.

"Aunt Qing."

Wen Qing squinted, covering her eyes before turning her head to the three boys. She smiled widely at the sight of his nephew and his husband together with Jingyi. She stood to greet them as the three saluted at her.

"What makes you come here? Aren't you suppose to travel?"

"We decided to wait until the blood pearl will develop. A-Ling wanted to see what miracle it could give." Sizhui answered.

Jin Ling followed, "A-Yuan said there's a life inside the pearl."

"That's true." Wen Qing agreed. "I wonder how those two would react after seeing the gift of life of Shen Rin An."

"Speaking of gift." Jingyi pulled out the pouch on his sleeve. "Sir Lan asked us to give you this. He also send his gratitude of sending herbs the other day."

Wen Qing took the pouch and opened it. Sizhui's guess was right. The pouch have sachets of rare seeds of herbs which Wen Qing has been looking for. She smiled upon seeing them and put them back in the pouch. "Tell Sir Lan that I'm grateful for his gift."

Sizhui roamed his eyes around the farm, not seeing anymore space to plant the seeds. "Do you still have some space to plant that seeds, Aunt Qing? The Herbs Farm was already full and this area..."

Wen Qing cling his hand to his nephew's left arm since his right hand was still intertwined to the Jin Sect Leader. "Of course, there is. I reserved a spot for rare herbs. I'll plant it later. Have you, guys, eaten?"

Sizhui, "Not yet. We didn't took our lunch on the way because we prefer your cooking."

Wen Qing, "Okay. Let's go to the kitchen. Help me prepare the meal. A-Ning was in the sick ward. He will be back tomorrow so stay for the night."

Sizhui nodded in delight as they approached the way towards the kitchen. "Sure, Aunt Qing."

Jin Ling was force to follow them since his beloved jealous husband doesn't want to let him go. He keeps on pulling his hand back but his grip was tight, not willing to let him go. Come to think of it, Jin Ling never saw him jealous and Sizhui never showed his jealousy so this is actually the first time he experienced it. He think that maybe because he doesn't have reasons to be jealous or maybe because Sizhui never heard him complimenting someone. He rarely compliments anyway.

Jingyi wouldn't want to follow since he doesn't have the talent for cooking. He just knew how to eat. However, when he saw Wen Yang coming towards him, he immediately followed to the kitchen.

"Did Maiden Fei already left?" Wen Qing asked whil serving the foods on the table. She sat between Wen Yang and Jingyi which makes the latter feel relieved.

"Yes, Aunt Qing. She said she had to get to the sick ward before it gets dark."

Wen Ning once mentioned that Wen Yang was more like a son to him so when he became a human again, he decided to adopt him. Wen Qing supported her brother so she just went on his decision. She already knew Wen Yang through the water of life back in Heavenly Realm so she didn't disagreed or hesitated.

"Jingyi, eat a lot." Wen Qing told the other boy beside her as she add another piece of chicken on his bowl. Jingyi accepted it smiling happily as the woma have always been kind to him. "Jingyi, did you see the maiden A-Yang brought here?"
