Atlas
"Holy shit you invited him over to our house?" Leah asks me at lunch."Well, I mean yeah, we're partners at we have to work on the project somewhere." I tell her.
"Sure."
"And what is that supposed to mean Leah?"
"you like him!" She exclaims excitedly.
"Oh my god Leah no I do not. We're just friends. And besides we barely know each other. He doesn't talk very much."
After school I walk in my front door and tell my mom a friends coming over to work on a project for school.
I rush upstairs to mine and Leah's room and make sure it's not messy when he get's here. Paige comes in a little while later.
"Is your boyfriend coming over?" She asks.
"Paige he's not my boyfriend, and he's only coming over to work on a project." I roll my eyes at her.
"Okay, whatever." She says Before walking out.
People have got to stop doing that. Leah laughs from across the room. I flip her off and she continues to laugh while she does her homework. "Bitch." I say to her. "Whore." She says back. We both bust out in laughter.
*knock* *knock*
Leah opens the door and there stands Everette the giant standing there. I let him in my room.
"Hey wheres Athena?" I ask.
"Oh she's downstairs with your mom."
I nod in response and begin taking things out of my bag to do the project as he does the same.
I eventually tell Leah to leave so we can work on the project with more room and she does.
"Leah lives here?" Everette asks, a confused look on his face.
"Yeah, we basically adopted her, well actually we're in the process of doing that now."
"Oh, Okay." He says and we begin to work on the project.
A few hours later and we have completely finished the project. I figured it would take at least a few days. Everette is very good at things like this, I've noticed.
He does well in school, He's top of his class in every class, with a 4.3 Gpa. It still surprised me how fast we finished though. "
Wow I can't believe we finished that, that fast."
"Yeah" he smiles before gathering his things and beginning to walk out.
"Everette."
"Come back over tomorrow? and you can bring Athena." I say, hopeful.
"We finished already?" He questions, looking slightly confused.
"I know, but we're friends now, we should hang out as friends." I add. He thinks for a moment before replying.
"Okay." He says and I smile.
"I'll see you around, Atlas."
I look out my window as he puts Athena in the car, sleeping, and he gets in the front seat and drives off.
Zach comes in right after.
"Holy shit sis you're falling for him."
He says. I throw a pillow at his face. I am not. Am I? No. I am not. I've known him for like 2 weeks.
During lunch at school the next day, Leah invites Everette to sit with us. Oh my god. I didn't know what was happening and before I could stop her, she just, asked.
