I can not open that door. I won't.
Me and Ev's entire lives will change the second I open that door and I refuse to do so.
He's at work. I'll just wait until he gets back.
Ev currently works at an art gallery whenever he's not at school, just to have extra money and such. Seeing as we graduate next year, it wasn't a bad idea for him to get a job. I mean he didn't need one, he's nearly rich already.
He doesn't do all the work though, I get paid for what I do in school because of the phych internship I'm taking.
"Attie?" Athena asks me, seeing as I'm sitting crisscrossed infront of the bathroom door.
"Hey babe." I say and she sits beside me, leaving her head on the door.
"Whatcha doing."
"Waiting on daddy." I say and she tilts her head
"On the floor?" She says and I nod
"K." She grins and I smile at her. "Cmere baby." I tell her and she walks over to me.
"How's school?" I ask her, trying to distract me and her from the situation behind the door
"Hard. 2nd grade is hard." She says and I laugh
"Well atleast you're on Christmas break." She nods, leaning her head on my shoulder as I hear the front door open
"Girls?" Ev's voice booms from the kitchen and Athena stands up, stomping into the kitchen
"Hi." Her little voice says and Ev laughs
"Hi pretty girl. Where's mommy?" He says
My heart is racing right now.
"Floor, in there." Athena says and he appears in-front of me
"Is there a reason you're on the floor?" He laughs and I smile, fakely.
"Comfort." I say and he laughs, starting to open the bathroom door to go in it and my eyes widen
"Don't go In there!" I say quickly and he turns around, facing me again as I stand up
"Why not?" He says and I rack my brain
"I just took a shit." I say and he looks at me, very visibly confused.
"Okay?"
Athena comes back to the hallway, looking at me just as weird.
"Uh, Athena go play." I say and she tilts her head again
"Okay then?" She leaves the room and goes upstairs and I look at Ev
"Okay. So. Now that there's no child. You can open the door." I say and he just looks even more confused
"Alright." I lean up against the wall.
What if he's mad? What if he doesn't want-
I'm gonna cry. Right now.
I hear him gasp just slightly before walking out of the bathroom, his hand closed in a fist.
"I'm so sorry" I say and he grabs me by my waist
"Why?" He asks and I put my head In my hands
"We're still in college and I don't know if you even want this and just please don't be mad." I say and he lets go of me
