14| Darkness

Taehyung woke up from a deep slumber and slowly opened his eyes. He looked quickly noticed that he wasn't in his bedroom, but living room, lying on his tummy, head resting on a pillow.

Or that's what he thought until he noticed that his pillow made slow movements, up and down, and his eyes widened as he sat up a little, getting met with the view of a black clothed villain lying beneath him, sleeping.

Taehyung had to blink a few times to be sure that this was real, but after pinching himself and feeling the pain, he concluded that this was reality. He fell asleep next to the man he loves, but should hate.

A warm feeling brightened inside of him as he watched Bunny peacefully sleeping like this. His eyes studied the villain's face, the black mask blocking the full view. Taehyung wonders who Bunny is and how he looks without orange orbs and his dark parted hair. How he possibly could look in normal clothes.

Slowly, the blond reached his hand out, softly placing it on Bunny's cheek. He can't help but feel unbelievably euphoric in this situation, in this position with the villain. He smiled softly, a dust of red covering his cheeks as he remembered kissing this man the day before.

His fingers gently stroke along Bunny's cheekbone, jaw, the outline of his mask and his lips. Probably Taehyung's favorite part. Kissing Bunny was magical and even if it was wrong to do, even if it still is wrong to do, it felt so right for Taehyung.

Suddenly, he felt a tight grip on his wrist and Bunny slowly opened his eyes, a light smirk forming on his lips as his fire-orange orbs meet Taehyung's brown ones. "It's creepy to stare at people when they sleep."

Taehyung blushed and pulled his hand out of the others hold. "I-I'm sorry." he whispered, wondering why he stuttered. He never stutters in front of the villain when he is Vante, but Taehyung seems to be like a complete different, submissive side of him.

Bunny chuckled softly, reaching his hand up to brush Taehyung's hair behind his ear. "I'm joking, I'm all yours and you can stare at me however long you want, sweetheart."

Heart jumping, Taehyung embarrassedly hid his face against the other's chest.

Bunny laughed out loud, which had Taehyung's chest tightening for a second, his eyes widening. He sounded... familiar.

The villain saw Taehyung's expression and eyed him confused. "Everything alright?"

Taehyung couldn't think of anyone though and just nodded. "Yeah, nothing. How did this," he pointed first at him and then at Bunny, "happen?"

"You fell asleep in my arms."

Taehyung blushed for the millionth time by how the dark-clothed phrased that sentence. "You could've woken me up... or I don't know, carried me to my room."

"I took the opportunity, babyboy. Having you close to me is the greatest feeling ever."

Is it needed to mention that Taehyung blushed? Yeah? Okay, he blushed once again. He was able to feel the blood rush up to his cheeks, warming them. The villain's whole existence turns Taehyung to a blushing mess and in one way he loves it in the other way, he feels embarrassed as hell.

"O-okay," Taehyung chewed on his lip, not being sure of what he should do now. Get up? Stay in Bunny's hold? Lie back down? Say something?

Say something.
"Euh.. i-it was nice to sleep next to you..."
NOT THAT THO-

"Oh, you mean on top of me?" the villain teased, leaning to Taehyung's ear. "It'll be the other way around in bed though, doll," he purred, causing Taehyung to gasp lightly, his brain giving him pictures that he didn't need right now.

"I'm just kidding, love. I liked holding you too, even though you move a lot when you sleep." It wasn't like Jeongguk wasn't already used to that though. He has slept next to Taehyung when both still wore their diapers, in some way he had to get used to Taehyung's constant moving and also his clinginess.

"I'm sorry. I fell asleep by accident," he mumbled and Bunny shrugged. "Well, accidents happen, but I wouldn't mind an accident like this to happen again.

How does Bunny always know what to say in order to make Taehyung flustered as hell?

"I'm gonna b-brush my teeth, I guess?" Taehyung crawled down from the villain, shyness engulfing him when he saw the dark haired male watch him with kinda hooded eyes, as if stripping him naked. He wasted no time and walked to the bathroom, taking a deep breath once he was inside.

His eyes fell to the mirror and then to his neck, that was still covered by the turtle neck he put on before Bunny arrived yesterday. Luckily, because it would've been suspicious if the villain would see the wounds that HE had caused.

Taehyung pulled the collar lightly down, a sharp breath running over his lips as he examined the dark bruises. He didn't know why looking at them suddenly pained him so much, his chest tightening with the suffocating feeling it had inside. Bunny has never hurt someone physically, but yesterday, a button was pressed, that had Bunny do exactly that. And Vante was the one to get the taste.

Taehyung shuddered lightly as he moved the tips of his delicate fingers along the skin on his neck, following the outline of the bruises. He then locked eyes with his mirror self, a thought crossing his mind.

How dangerous can Bunny actually be?

His belief that everyone deserves to feel the same pain he did is already dangerous enough, but him getting to the point of not being able to hold back could literally lead to him burning down whole seoul.

Taehyung sighed. "What am I doing?" he questioned in disbelief to himself. He should stop Bunny, not fall for him. Not fall asleep next to him and enjoy it. Not fucking kiss him.

He felt disappointed at himself, he messed up as Vante, as the hero. While the people have faith in him to stop the darkness, he falls for it. For darkness. For the evil.

Taehyung took a step towards the mirror and picked his toothbrush and the toothpaste, finally brushing his teeth, while his thoughts ran wild with questions of what the next step might be.
