19| Fear

"I can't believe this.." Taehyung whispered shocked, eyes roaming around Seoul, or what was left of it. He felt more than relieved to see all people eviction safely, the whole city being in a condition, as if a burning hurricane ran over it and set everything on fire.

"Fuck," He heard Jin behind him curse and soon saw him try to extinguish the fire with his water powers. Suga used his telekinesis to move rocks and cars out of their way. Hoseok, J-Hope, with his super-speed checked up on the people who were hiding in self build bunkers or their basements.

Vante tried to ignore the suffocating feeling inside of his chest and turned to the others. "Listen, We need to find Bunny. He'll most probably be on top of some high building, or something like that," he said, remembering that's what he usually does. Doubts crawled up on him though, because the person who did this to their hometown definitely wasn't Bunny. That wasn't Jeongguk.

"Let that be my job," Jimin said, his legs suddenly growing and growing in size, letting him be taller than some of the buildings, giving him a great overview over the whole town. "RM, do you hear me?" He spoke into his earpiece and the super brain answered: "Perfectly."

"Good," Jimin began, "I'm taller than you."

Namjoon rolled his eyes. "Congratulations. now look out for Bunny."

Jimin took a good look around, his eyes not really being able to make much out due to the ash clouds and flames that irritated his view. Soon he saw a spot that was glowing and he could make out the shape of some dark clothed person. He smirked.

He quickly went down again. "He's not far, on top of the city hall."

"We could've expected that." Hoseok said and Jin nodded. "Every villain in the movies does that."

Taehyung scoffed. "He's not like every villain," he stated confidently, earning disagreeing and questioning glances from the other heroes.

"We get it, you're in love and want to defend him. However, right now, we need to find a way to get you to him, so you can use that globe thingy to collect his powers so that he isn't possessed anymore!" Yoongi spat annoyed and Taehyung glared at him, even though he knew he was right.

"Okay, fine. Jin, you continue to take care of the fire as good as you can. J-Hope, make sure everyone's safe. Jimin, Yoongi, come with me."

They all nodded and Namjoon gave them an approving sign from the control centre through the ear pieces.

Vante took a deep breath when he stood in front of the building Jimin announced Bunny to be on. He looked at Yoongi and Jimin and gave them a nod, before they stormed into the building.

They gasped at the view of how destroyed the once beautiful city hall of Seoul was. "Wh-what the fuck," Yoongi cursed out and Jimin wanted to say something too, when a noise beat him to it. "H-help!"

The three heroes widened their eyes and instantly ran towards the voice, that sounded a little farther down the hall. Once they entered the room they heard the voice call from, they got met with the view of a destroyed office, where papers were scattered all around the floor, as if it snowed them, where the wooden table was broken, cupboards split in halves and the mayor, stuck with both his legs underneath one of the heavy wooden shelf.

"Please help me!" he cried again and it wasn't to miss how much pain the man was having.

"Wh-What happened?" Taehyung asked and Yoongi snarled at him. "Your fucking loverboy happened! Go take care of that villain, we'll take care of this mess here."

Vante felt his heart shattering but he gulped the uneasy feeling down his throat and nodded, before leaving the room. In search for the stairs that lead to the roof, he tried to ignore the mess as good as possible, telling himself the whole time that this wasn't Bunny's/Jeongguk's doing, but his powers'.

He felt guilty, even if it was not his fault, yet in the back of his head, he can't deny the fact that Bunny, Jeongguk, wouldn't have lashed out like that if he didn't shout at him that afternoon in his own living room.

Taehyung shook his head to get rid of that thought and felt relieved once he found the staircase that would lead up. He misses his powers, wished he could just teleport up there and finally face Bunny and save him from his powers, so that he can hold Jeongguk in his arms and apologize for what he had said.

No hesitation shown, he run up the stairs, feeling adrenaline shoot through him, pushing the fear he was also feeling aside. He can't be scared of what might happen.

Although, he felt scared.

He didn't fear Jeongguk, he fears the ravenette's powers and all his trust lies on their friendship, their love to keep Taehyung save, because he knows no matter in what condition, Jeongguk would never hurt Kim Taehyung.

And soon, he reached upstairs, heavy pants leaving his lips. Now that he stopped, he felt the exhaustion the running had caused, but still he ignored it when he locked eyes with the boy who has his heart in his hands.

Bunny smirked, looking straight into Vante's eyes, burning orange meeting crystalline blue.

"I've been waiting for you, butterfly."
