"Once someone has hurt you, it's harder to think around them, harder to relax around them, harder to trust them, harder to think of them as safe to love again."

Third Omniscient Point Of View

_____

He just felt the connection the day they passed by the accident near the outskirts of KwaNdaba. The fire was a big and raving, he didn't want to risk the safety of the princess but he swore he saw her. And when that feeling passed through him, he knew he had to try harder to find her. Find his sister. On the day of the Princess's wedding when he met Siyabonga, he knew that he could help him.

He's explored the "outside world", or rather, he has explored more than the grounds of the Kingdoms. He had gone as far as overseas to further his education, who else to ask than him. Siya instantly agreed when Qophelo told him what happened. Little did Siya know that their encounter was going to be a total accident before he realised that this was the woman he was looking for.

He connected the dots when Qophelo gave him the name of the man who had taken his sister away from him. The day that Amukelani told Siya, Trevor's name, he knew that they had him. As the days progressed, Siya observed Amukelani's behaviour towards Trevor and concluded she was submissive to Trevor. It was clear that she hadn't been with anyone else before.

Sure, she was just two years older than him but he wanted to get to know her more outside of Trevor's influence. And with the little information from Qophelo about what happened, he gathered they'd both suffered great trauma. He was happy to help, it was part of the qualities he needed to be a great King to his people. Which was going to be soon.

Thandeka watched from her old room as Qophelo and Siya drove out of the premises with two cars behind them. She was confused, what business did Qophelo have with her brother? Were they friends?

"So, tell me! How's it going with the Igwe?" Betty smiled, she looked great. Her skin was glowing and she looked happy. Something happened and Thandeka wanted to know what it was. She abandoned the window and all thoughts of Qophelo and Siyabonga, and sat down next to Betty.

"I should be asking you how things are going? You are glowing and you look too happy for someone who lost their best friend." Thandeka folded her arms accusingly.

Betty laughed. "Idrama engaka. (So much drama). I'm not telling you anything until you spill. Talking about me glowing, you are glowing too! I know you aren't a virgin anymore so it must be the Nkabinde charm."

Thandeka covered her mouth and looked away. Betty gasped. "Princess! Spill! There's something you want to tell me so just go ahead!"

Thandeka pursed her lips, "fine!" She cleared her throat. "So what if I told you it wasn't Nkabinde charm that got me glowing."

Betty's mouth fell open making Thandeka throw her head back in laughter. Betty hit Thandeka on her shoulder. "I'm not catching. Let's reverse. 180°. Come back to me. You cheated?"
