"I can be changed by what happens to be, but I refuse to be reduced by it."

Third Omniscient Point Of View
(Longer chapter)

Zweli ran to his mother's chambers and frantically knocked. He sobered up immediately after Thandeka ran out the room. He was not in his right mind. Funeka had made him so angry, blatantly denying the fact that Khayalami was his. It was obvious. But all she did was slam the door in his face and deny him access.

After that... he got drink and sobered up to Thandeka getting away from him. He realized what he had done and didn't mean any of it.

The door opened and his mother furrowed her eyebrows at his state. He looked horrible with red eyes and his untidy outfit. "Zweli, this better be good."

"Ma, Thandeka ran away."

"What?!" Her eyes widened, "what happened? What did you do?"

"Let's not focus on that ma. Tomorrow is your abdication and I can't have her pull out now. It will be an embarrassment."

"Zweli, wenzeni?! What did you do?"

Zweli looked down in shame, he was running his hands all over his head, distressed. "I attempted to sleep with her."

The Queen looked furious. She slapped Zweli on the cheek, his head turned with it. "Stupid! Do you realize what you've done? Huh? This could ruin everything!"

"Ma, I know! Help me fix it please. She's out there now and if she let's her family know then it's over. The Nkabinde Kingdom will be humiliated!"

"Argh!" The Queen pushed him out of her way and made her way to the kitchen. Phumzile was still, now slicing pineapple into little pieces. "Where is Thandeka?"

"Hello to you t-"

"Yey!" She slammed her hand on the kitchen counter, "I'm not in the mood for your jokes. Where is that girl?!" She said pointing a finger at Phumzile's face.

"I.. I don't know! She just came here, drank water and left. Didn't even speak to me when I talked to her." Phumzile stressed, realizing that this was a serious matter. "What happened? Did she do something?"

Queen Gugulethu just clicked her tongue and went out. She approached the guards, "where's my driver?"

"Your Highness, he's by the gate."

She left without a word. She went to her driver and commanded him to drive her around the community while she tried to get in contact with Thandeka.

She breathed out in relief when it was answered. "Thandeka-"

Zweli's voice came from the other side. "It's me, ma. She left her phone."

"Dammit, Zweli! You better pray that everything works out Zweli, otherwise my boy..." she chuckled darkly. "You're gonna know me. You think you know me but you don't." She clicked her tongue, hanging up.

They continued looking around..

. . .

Thandeka walked in the yard, heading for the main house. Betty, who happened to be outside spotted her. "Thandeka! What are you..." Bethina stopped her by holding her wrist as Thandeka passed by. "Thandi, are you okay?"
