"Revenge is surviving, getting out and being a better person than you were, and breaking the cycle."
Third Omniscient point Of View
_____
Chaos.
People came out to watch the arrival of the former King's son. Someone they all presumed was dead. They watched as he stepped out of the fancy vehicle and move to the passenger seat. He opened the door and a beautiful woman walked out."Is that really him?"
"Who is that with him?"
"Is that the princess?"
"They're staring." Thandeka commented as she noticed the people's stares from their yards.
"I know why," he grabbed her hand. "They probably notice who I am and they thought I was dead."
"Oh..."
They walked together to the double story house. This was the house that they lived in. That one was demolished and they had to start a new -smaller- one because there was no money anymore. There were no guards which was weird because for royals, that was standard. Royals are always at a risk of being assassinated. The reason there's freedom now is because in the past decades, there hasn't been an assassination.
Qophelo took a deep breath and knocked on the door before stepping back. "Stay behind me." Thandeka didn't question him and moved behind him. The door opened and a man that Qophelo recognised as his uncle was the one who opened it.
His breath hitched as he saw his nephew. He dropped the glass that he was holding and it shattered on the floor. That caused someone from the other room to shout.
Qophelo immediately recognised the voice as his mother's. "Hayi Charles! You don't pay for anything here wena sihlama (piece of shit)!"
Still as lovely as ever, Qophelo thought.
"Sisi! Sisi!" Charles, Qophelo's uncle, called out in a panic. "Unyanakho! (Your son)"
"Ini? (What)"
"Unyanakho, Sisi!" He shouted, holding his hand to his chest. He was in shock. Qophelo cleared his throat as he watched his mother come to the door. Her steps faltered as she saw him. Her eyes blinked comically as she also felt like she was seeing a ghost.
"Ma," Qophelo said, calmly.
"Ah!" She screamed, falling to her knees. "Qophelo? Qophelo nguwe lo? Am I seeing things? (Is this really you)" she held her head as she studied him. "Charles, are seeing this?"
"Qophelo-"
"Can we come in?" He cut Charles, not patient enough to watch them freak out of his existence. Did they even look for him? He doubted it.
"Of course! Ngena, ngena. (Come in)" Ayanda stood up and moved out of the way so they could come in. It was then that they paid attention to the woman who'd been behind him. Ayanda chokes out a cough in shock, "princess!"
Thandeka politely smiled. "Ma,". She didn't know how to behave yet as Qophelo hadn't shown much aggression towards them yet.
"This is great, amazing!" She laughed out in disbelief. "My son brought a Princess home! Luzuko, come with refreshments!" Ayanda yelled as she escorted them to the living room. "Please sit here,"
They sat on the old looking couch. The place uneat and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. A boy that looked to be in his early twenties walked in with glasses filled with water.
