"Revenge is a dish that tastes best when served cold." ~ The Godfather.

I went to my office to get a file and headed to the meeting room. I sat at the head of the table while my main men sat around it. The more distant of my men stood around the room.

"Find me Niccoló Scutari."

They were murmurs all around the room which spiked my anger. Have they learned nothing?

"STOP CONVERSING AND FIND HIM!"

They all ran out of the room except my right-hand man and my best friend.

"Who's Niccoló again?"

He used to work for me until one day he just fled the country. I later found out that he was a rat. He had been working for my enemy.

Raniero Vanni.

Raniero has been trying to kill me for years. I guess since he couldn't, he had to send someone to spy on me.

I trusted Niccoló.
I don't like people who betray me.

I got the news he was back in Rome, and I got the location of where he's hiding so I thought I might pay him a little visit. When I told everyone the plan, they were shocked that Niccoló could betray me knowing that I wouldn't take it lightly. We decided that Mario and I would confront him while one of my men do the job. Kate is our computer girl, so she put a tiny plastic circle in Mario, my men and I's ears. Through that, she will be able to tell us if it's safe to go inside.

We filled up in the black Suv and drove to the location. When we pulled up, Kate gave us the all-clear but just to be sure, a few guys went and checked. Once they fully scoped out the area, Mario and I got out of the vehicle.

We made our way to the front door and stood there. I got out my gun in case Niccoló had some strange idea. I counted from 3 to 1 and kicked down the door and quickly made my way to the first room where Niccoló lay there sleeping.

I started to laugh at this predicament.
I mean, he's sleeping. He has no clue what's about to happen to him when we wake him up.

I left him sleeping there and walked into another room which I'm guessing is the kitchen. I opened every cabinet until I saw the pots and pans. I grabbed two and made my way back to Niccoló.

When Mario saw me he burst out laughing. I told him to shush, in case he woke up. I moved closer to Niccoló's body and I started to bang the pans off of each other.

"Wakey Wakey Niccoló. Bedtimes over." I shouted still banging the pans. He jumps up in a panic when he hears my voice. "Hi Niccoló, care to sit down." I made a hand gesture for him to take a seat. Of course, he did. That's step 1 ticked off my list.

"How have you been?" I asked.
"I..I've been g..good" He stuttered.
"You left out of nowhere. I wondered where you had disappeared to. I thought maybe you had gotten kidnapped, or even killed. I sent my men to look but they couldn't find you. I'm glad to see you're okay." I smiled.
