I got into Lorenzo's Lamborghini and turned on the car.
Oh god.
I don't even know how to drive this car. It can't be that hard, right? I put my hands on the steering wheel and pulled out of the driveway and started to drive back to Lorenzo's mansion.
On the way there, I started to think about Lorenzo and if he's ok. If he dies, surely I'll get punished. 10 minutes later, I reached the house and rushed out of the car.
I rang the doorbell and banged on the door. A guard soon opened it and let me in.
"Where's Mario? I need to speak with him." I asked. I tapped my foot on the floor because of how anxious I was. What if he's dead? No Anna, he's probably fine.
"He's very busy at the moment so-."
I cut him off."I NEED to speak with Mario. It's about Lorenzo." I demanded.
The guard thought of what to say, probably debating if I'm lying or not. "Okay, I'll lead you to his study." the guard answered.
The guard led me to Mario's study and told me to only enter if he said. I rolled my eyes because I already knew that. It was common sense. I knocked on the door and waited impatiently. A few seconds later, I heard him say, "come in." I burst into the room, and he seemed rattled.
"It's Lorenzo, these guys had me and he turned in himself to free me," I spoke quickly. Mario stood up from his chair and came over to me. He put his hands on my shoulders.
"Anna, breathe," he told me.
I nodded and took a few deep breaths before explaining everything."Lorenzo and I went to the headquarters because there was a break-in. While there, we split up because he said I was able to handle a gun and that I didn't need practice. So when we did, I did shoot some guys but I thought I had gotten all of them until I saw two guys grab me from behind. Five minutes later, Lorenzo found us and he got taken because he wanted them to let me go. I thought he would just leave me there but he didn't." I explained.
Hearing that, Mario immediately picked up his phone and called a few of Lorenzo's men to go and see if he's still there.
"Anna, I know you care for Lorenzo, he'll be ok," he said.
I started laughing. I've known the dude for two days. I don't care about him, but he saved my life and I don't want to see someone die because of me.
"I don't care about Lorenzo. I barely know the dude." I scoffed. Mario just looked at me and nodded. "Sure," he responded.
I glared at him, and he laughed and put his hands up in surrender. Before he walked out the door, he looked at me with an unhappy face.
"Also, you're not going to like this, but please go talk to Kate. She is really sorry and does want to be your friend," he spoke.
