We waited for Lorenzo in the car for about half an hour

We waited for Lorenzo in the car for about half an hour. "Why'd you take so long?" I asked. He didn't answer my question, so I rolled my eyes.

Kate and I talked about what we were going to do today. "We have to go to the cinema," I said. Kate nodded, "Definitely." She agreed.

Lorenzo didn't say a word to us the whole way to the mall, and neither did me and Kate. There wasn't anything to say.

When we arrived at the mall, Kate and I left without Lorenzo. This was our day, and he wasn't going to ruin it.

Kate already knew the shop we had to go to any time we entered the mall.

Starbucks.

The queue was surprisingly long today. We waited for five minutes and Lorenzo was now with us. "Kate to be clear, I'm paying," I spoke. "No, you're not." Lorenzo refused. I turned to him and crossed my arms. "What?" I asked. "I'm paying." He told me. "How nice of you," I said sarcastically.

We walked up to the till and started to order. "Can I get a Caramel Frappuccino  with extra whipped crème, please?" I asked kindly. The boy nodded and looked at Kate. "I'll get an iced coffee, with whipped crème, please," Kate ordered. The boy once again nodded and looked at Lorenzo. "I'll get black coffee," Lorenzo spoke. "Like your soul," I muttered under my breath.

I think the barista heard me because they started laughing. I smiled at them and chuckled. Lorenzo paid and we soon got our drinks.

Walking out of Starbucks, Lorenzo asked me a question. "What did you say back there?" He asked.

"Nothing," I said.

He didn't say anything after that. "What shop are we going to first K?" I asked. "Let's go to the dress shop," Kate answered. "Why?" I asked. "Because we're going out for dinner," Kate responded. "Since when?" I questioned. "Since now," Kate replied.

I chuckled, and nodded, "Okay." I spoke.

Kate and I acted as if Lorenzo wasn't there at all because it was easier that way.

We walked into the dress shop, and a blue tight dress, that ended just below the butt caught Kate's eyes. She rushed over there to take a better look at it.

I looked around the store and nothing caught my eyes. All of the dresses were beautiful, but not for me.

Lorenzo walked over to me and looked at the dress I had just looked at. "I think that one would look nice on you." He suggested as he pointed to it.

It was a dark navy off the shoulder dress that had a split. The dress ran down to the floor. It was a very pretty dress, but Lorenzo picking it meant I couldn't get it.

"I'll decide what's nice on me." I fake smiled.

"I was just trying to help." He spoke.

"I don't need your help, nor do I want it," I told him.
