A manservant helps Segismundo saddle a horse.
Indoy:
Sa palagay mo ba maca-tutulong cung ytu-tuloy mo itong balac mo sa ganitong oras?
Indoy asks him as he approaches from the open door of the stables.
Segismundo turns his head to his right to look at him.
Segismundo:
Hindi co hinihiling na sumama ca, Indoy.
He says as he pulls on the leather strap to tighten the saddle.
Segismundo:
Mas cailangan ca rito ni Don Astolfo ngayon.
Indoy shakes his head.
Indoy:
Patay na ang Tio Astolfo, Segismundo. At narito aco para iuasan cang sundan mo siya sa cabilang buhay.
He says to him firmly.
Segismundo:
Indoy, icao sa lahat ang naca-uunaua ng calagayan co!
Aggitated.
Segismundo pauses.
Segismundo:
Iuan mo na cami.
He dismisses the manservant who then takes his leave.
Indoy:
Ngayon aco na ang naca-uunaua sa 'yo?
Iñigo scoffs.
Indoy:
Nasaan yan canina nang pinag-hihinalaan mo aco, Segismundo?
Segismundo burries his face in his hands and runs them through his hair.
He takes a deep breath before responding to Indoy.
Segismundo:
Ypag-paumanhin mo. Hindi co man—
Even his words are failing him.
Segismundo:
Anong gagauin natin ngayon?
His question is desperate.
Indoy:
Hindi naman sa sinasabi cong huag cang tumuloy sa Pasong Diablo. Cailangan nating tantiyahin ang ating galao sa dilim.

Segismundo draws breath before asking Indoy to his left.
Segismundo:
Nasaan ang mga ito canina nang cailangan natin sila?
Indoy steps forward and reaches for a rifle.
Indoy:
Narito at wala sa bahay sa poblacion.
He says while handing Segismundo a pistol.
Segismundo:
At bacuit ganito carami ang mga pistola at rifle rito?
Segismundo asks while inspecting the gun.
Indoy takes a deep breath before responding.
Indoy:
Hindi naman ina-asahan ng Tio Astolfo na sa poblacion cami gagambalain ng tulisanes.
