Bahay Francia Poblacion San Angel 23 May 2019 9:21 am
Drake hears a male voice coming from outside the library.
"Lolo Luis! Lolo— Lolo Luis!"
The person is looking for Doctor Francia.
A tall guy wearing a black button down cotton shirt printed with white palm leaves and maroon chinos carrying a paper bag and a box of pastries enters through the library's door.,
"Oh sorry... Is Lolo Luis here?"
The tall guys looks surprised not to see Doctor Francia inside his office.
Drake stops what he's writing and puts down his pencil.
Drake: He stepped out a few minutes ago.
He tells the guy who is looking out at the hallway through the library's door.
Drake: Maybe he's in his room?
Drake speculates. The guy walks to the table and places the paper bag and the box of pastries in the vacant space near the edge.
"He's gonna come back naman, right?"
The tall guy asks him while unbuttoning the top buttons of his shirt, taking advantage of the air coming out of the industrial fan just by the edge of the working table.
Drake: He should— I mean, he knows this better than me.
Drake resumes scribbling on a blue piece of sticky notes.
The tall guy notices the albums and books stacked on the working table in front of Drake. Their age betrayed by the assorted neon colored sticky notes sticking out from the edges of the page.
"You're working on something?"
The tall guys asks.
"Oh! Where are my manners? Gregory. Greg."
He introduces himself, realizing his social faux pas.
Drake: Drake. I'm Drake.
He does the same, briefly, returning to the labels he's writing.
