Migz rushes into the emergency room. He could barely catch his breath as he reaches the desk where a nurse in green scrubs is on the phone.

Migz: Miss— Miss, for Drake Lee po!?!

He asks.

Nurse: Sir?

The nurse, her attention still fixed on the conversation she is having on the phone, gives Migz a quizzed look.

Migz: Uh, Payat —Half Korean— Yung kasama niya nag-dala— tumawag sa 'kin—

He struggles to complete his sentence between breaths and the obvious panic in his voice.

"Migz!"

Drake calls for Migz.

Migz does not hear him.

Nurse: Wait po, sir...

The nurse tells the person on the line.

"Migz!"

He finally hears Drake's voice.

Migz turns to his right.

He sees Drake on the bed in the middle bay through the half-drawn emerald green curtain.

Migz: Hayun na po, Miss.

Migz makes his way to the other end of the emergency room.

Nurse: Sir saglit lang—

He ignores the nurse as he rushes to Drake's side.

Migz: Hey... Anong nangyari sa 'yo?

He reaches for Drake's right hand and squeezes it.

Drake: I passed out kanina.

Drake's voice is mellow and hoarse.

Migz: Saan?

Migz runs his fingers through the hair intruding on Drake's right eye.

Drake: After lunch— there sa Pinag-Bayanan.

Migz's eyes widen.

Migz: Anong ginagawa mo sa may Pinag-Bayanan?

He questions Drake.

Migz knows for sure that he mentioned to Drake that no one ever really dares to venture into that part of Pinag-Bayanan.

Drake: Basty and I had lunch at Dada Betang's tapos I asked if we could go exploring at the shore of Pinag-Bayanan and hindi pa kami matagal there then I passed out.

He explains.

Migz: Tumama ba ulo mo somewhere? May masakit ba sa 'yo?

He questions Drake further.

Drake: Just a bit dizzy lang pero I feel okay naman.

He assures him.

Migz: Gaano ka daw katagal na walang malay?

Migz asks.

Drake: Basty said about ten or fifteen minutes?

Someone draws the emerald green curtain open.

The sound of the grommets sliding on the steel pipe and the rustling curtain calls their attention.

Doctor Lavapiez: Good afternoon. I'm Doctor Lavapiez.

The young doctor introduces himself.

Migz: Good afternoon, Doc.

Drake: Good afternoon po.
