Chapter 11

*Day of the Performance*

Kalin's POV

I checked my watch for the 5th time. Kaylan was late and we were up after the Samurai. Jay and Jake were next to me and it took everything in me not to beat the shit out of him. Jay and I haven't spoken ever since that night in Central Park. She's been practically attached at the hip to Jake.

They were both wearing all white and Jake had his hands around her waist. They were both laughing and acting like 5 year olds. I was jealous but I don't know why, she wasn't mine anyways and she probably hated my guts.

I decided to go look for Kaylan since I couldn't stand seeing Jay with someone else but me. I walked to Kaylan's dressing room and it was cracked open. I was about to walk in when I heard voices inside. I peeked into the small opening and saw her sitting on the couch with some guy. He turned so I could see his face.

It was Nate.

I stood there and listened to their conversation. I instantly felt lke crap. Jay was right and I was too caught up in my ego that I didn't give her a chance. Kaylan and Nate were sitting on the couch watching the routine we were supposed to perform in a few minutes. They soon got up and Kaylan began to teach him each and every move. I couldn't take it any longer so I walked back to Jay and Jake.

Myles was there too with the rest of the crew. I pulled him off to the side and explain everything. He was shocked but then pulled it together.

"Ok guys we have a problem," he said to the crew.

"Kaylan who was orginally supposed to dance with Kalin gave the Samurai a tape of their dance and even taught them how to do it themselves. So it looks like we are going to have to forfit the competition and go home. I'm sorry guys," he said looking down.

Before anyone could comment the Samurai went on stage and performed our rountine.The whole crew looked deflated watchng them kill it out there. Jay stepped into the middle with Jake.

"We aren't going home. I predicted this would happen and told Kalin but he wouldn't listen," she said glaring at me, "so Jake and I made up a routine of our own."

I froze in place. That meant she was going to be kissing Jake. I looked at him and he stared back with a smug look of victory. The crew clapped for them and before I could respond they were called up to perform.

Jay's POV

I honestly wish I was dancing with Kalin right now and not Jake. I think Jake has feelings for me but I don't know yet. I began to rock my hips as the opening stings of Slow Motion (by Trey Songz) played. The whole dance went perfect. I was having so much fun dancing with Jake I forgot that we were even in a competition. I heard the cue in the music that told us it was time for the grand ending.

We both stood on seperate parts of the stage. I ran towards him and jumped on him, connecting our lips. I felt fireworks go off when we kissed. They weren't as strong as they were when I kissed Kalin but they were still there. We kept kissing until the music ended. I could feel Jake smile though the kiss as the crowd roared behind us.

I jumped off him and he intertwined our fingers. I looked over at the tunnel where our crew was going crazy for us.

The host continued to recite the number to call to vote for us to move on to next week. I looked around for Kalin since he wasn't with the crew. Then I saw him and my heart broke even more than it was before.

He was kissing that slut Kaylan.

I grabbed Jake's hand and walked off the stagre. The crew congradulated us and a bunch of the guys jumped on Jake. The only people who didn't congradulate us was Kaylan and Kalin, they just stared us down from the side. I was about to give Kalin a piece of my mind when Jake pulled me to center of the circle.

"Everyone shut up, I have an announcement," he yelled and everyone quieted down.

He looked me in the eye, held my hands and began to speak. "Jay, from the moment we met at the basketball court that day I knew you were different. You weren't like the other girls and there was something about you that made me want to know more and more about you. Throughout these few weeks I've gotten to know you more and more. There's just one thing I don't like about you. The fact that I can't call you mine, so can you change that and be mine, my princess, my girlfriend?"

By then all the girls in the crew were on the verge of tears and I was so stunned. I didn't know he felt like this about me. I looked over at Kalin who looked like he was going to pass out at any moment. He seemed to be happy and content with his thot so why worry about him. I faced Jake again and smiled.

"Yes," I said before connecing our lips once more. The whole crew began to scream and we pulled away. I looked up at Kalin once more and saw him look like the world had ended. He walked away disappearing into the shadows, but never from my heart.
