"Mom! Let's go!" I shout entering through the doors.

She walks out from the kitchen wiping her hands on her apron.

"Where we going?"

"Down to the station. Let's get this statement done and over with."

"Why made you want to do it all of a sudden?"

"I just want to get whatever it is they want out of the way."

"Oh ok, let me clean up and we can go." She swings her apron off of her, tossing it into the kitchen table, grabbing her keys and purse off the counter.

"Kyle we will be back!" She shouts from the bottom of the stairs.

"Where are you going!" He hollers from his room causing his voice to echo through the walls.

"Just to the station real quick! It shouldn't take to long! We will be back before your football game!" He yells back saying ok.

"Football game? A home game? Am I going?" I ask when she turns around from the stairs.

"Of course, you missed the last few already from this season."

"But I always wish him good luck and I make sure he knows I remember, I can't go there, I can't go. I can't face all the people." My words come out quickly by thinking of going back there.

"You'll be fine, you haven't been there for a year and you've already missed so much of Kyles games, you used to go to all of them."

"You know why I didn't go, same reason why I transferred."

"And transferring was the best thing that has happened for you but in order to grow you have to push yourself," I stare into her eyes trying to figure out if she lost her mind.

"You don't have to stay for the whole thing, just at least go before it starts or just for the beginning." I don't argue. That's fair enough. If I can't handle it after a few minutes I can always just sit in the car or hide under the bleachers.

We exit the house and we're gone.

As we pull up to the station, I spot my dad standing in front of the entrance.

"Why is he here? Shouldn't he be patrolling?"

"I told him you were coming down, so he came over to come watch over you to make sure you will be alright."

"I'll be fine."

"Since your dad is here I will just have him take you to Kyle's game, so I will see you then."

"Ok." I mumble as I scramble out of the car approaching my dad.

"I'll be ok, you didn't have to come down here, I know you have other things you should be doing." I say as I pass by.

"Your mom asked me to come." I scoff

"Of course she did," I push through the doors, glancing behind me. "I can handle this on my own, you don't have to come in with me." And I step inside closing the doors behind me.

I begin to hear phone lines ringing left and right, seeing papers scattered in piles around the front office.

I take two small steps forward approaching the desk waiting for someone to appear.

A young women who looks like she is in her mid thirties steps into the room spotting me taking her position at the desk.

"Hello? How can I help you?"
