I'm tired of standing. I wanna go home now. I walk towards the bench and take a seat, as I'm waiting I decided to close my eyes and let sleep take over. I don't know how long I was asleep for but suddenly someone taps my shoulder handing me something to drink.

Lucas.

                                    *  *  *

"Millie?"  I hear suddenly.

"Millie, did you hear me?" I spaced off.

"Stop." I look at him trying to contain my breathing and collecting my thoughts together.

"What I just said-" He begins to say but I interrupt him.

"I know what you said." I can't listen to him anymore. This conversation needs to end.

"Okay so-" I interrupt him again before he can finish his sentence

"Look we don't speak of that name. I don't know if you're trying to play some sort of sick game or what but it's not funny and it needs to end now." I can't even look at him. I turn around in my seat and I start looking directly at my white vans on the floor trying to avoid eye contact.

"I'm not trying to be funny! I was just saying how I know you, I don't mean any harm. I swear! I'm just sorry about everything. I know it was a hard situation!"  So he doesn't know anything? Or is this still a part of his game? I look up at him once again to make direct eye contact.

"I'm sorry for blowing up on you. It's just a hard topic." I retain my cool but I'm not putting my guard down. I'm trying to play it cool just in case this is some sort of game.

"Yeah, ok." He rolls his eyes. I feel kind of bad now.

"I'm serious! I'm sorry!" This guy is so stubborn I can already tell by the way he acts.

"Alright, apology accepted...Changing the subject, why are you here?" He moves a few desks up to sit directly behind me.

"Let us just say I interrupted a classroom conversation by accident nothing major...Why are you here?" His eyes are so intimidating that I can't stand making eye contact so I just began to fold a piece of paper that I found on my desk.

I can feel his eyes staring at me.

"How about you ask that boyfriend of yours. He's a peach." He says speaking with annoyance. Carter? What did Carter do? I haven't seen him since I ran off on him since lunch.

I start to think about how I blew up on him earlier.

"Carter? No, he isn't my boyfriend." I emphasize that sentence clearly so he understands. Carter's just a friend.

"Well boyfriend or not, this situation is his fault." I keep folding the piece of paper some more before I can't fold it anymore then I reply.

"How is it his fault?"

"He wanted to prove a point" A point? Stunned by what Owen just said I dropped the folded tiny piece of paper

"A point? For what?" I'm staring at him trying to figure out what happened between the two of them.

"You're very nosy, ya know that right?" It was just one simple question.

I roll my eyes in irritation.

"Sorry, it was just a question." I say in a stubborn tone. He takes a deep breath while tapping the desk.

"It was honesty nothing, just something dumb." I'm studying his face to see some sort of reaction but nothing. He's stone-cold staring at me.
