“Where were you?  You missed what happened to Will.”  She started.  Will?  “What happened to Will?”  I replied.  Angel explained what happened shortly.  Turns out, Will didn't know what his power was at all.  Which automatically made him a sidekick to Boomer, so now Will was at the nurse.  I got Angel to tell me the way to the nurse's office.  Everybody made it seem like Will's parents were the best.  I figured he had to feel so bad.  “But there are cases, rare, yet not unheard of, where the child of two super-powered parents, mmm-mmm, never acquires any… powers whatsoever.”  I heard Nurse Spex explaining.  There was a moment of silence.  “Like who?”  Will asked.  Spex took a moment to reply.  “Well, I know of only one.  Ron Wilson, bus driver?”  She replied.  I stopped in the doorway.  “There he is.  There he is now.”  Spex pointed out.

Ron was messing around with a broom, shattering a window on the bus.  So Ron has both parents as superheroes, but never got any powers.  Nurse Spex seemed to notice I was there now.  Will did then as well.  “How long were you listening?”  He asked.  I walked in a little more.  “Long enough.  Angel told me what happened to you, Will.  I wanted to see how you were doing and let you know your friends will always have your back.”  I explained.  Will almost smiled.  The bell rang, signaling the day was over.  So we caught back up with the others and went home.  My mom wasn't there still, so maybe her mission was just taking longer than normal.  She left a note saying she met Will's parents before going out and left a phone number to call in case of anything.  I assumed the number was probably some phone at Will's house and made something to eat before getting ready to take a shower.  The next day felt like it came way too quickly.

“Morning, class.  Welcome to Hero Support.”  Our teacher greeted everyone.  He had blond hair and blue eyes and was now walking towards something that was used to change clothes.  “My name is… All American Boy!”  He announced, changing into a suit that fit the name.  “ Course nowadays… I just go by Mr. Boy.”  He added.  Mr. Boy?  Well… That was a unique name at least.  “But this year, it will be my privilege to help each of you become the very best Hero Support you can be.  Without Hero Support, why, there wouldn't be any Heroes…  All right, there probably would-be Heroes, but they would be very lonely.  Lonely Heroes indeed.  And…”  He tried continuing.  Zach had put his hand up.  “Uh, yeah, um, when do we pick out names and costumes?  Because I call dibs on 'Zach Attack' ”  Zach asked.  The teacher took a moment to answer.

“Well, you don't get to pick.  On graduation day, you'll be assigned to your Hero, and then he or she will, uh, decide what you will be called and what you will wear.”  He explained, pausing.  “I think this is mostly done in an attempt to avoid clashing colors…”  Mr. Boy continued.  I kind of tuned him out at that point.  I took some time last night to look up some of the teachers in school, to try to.  Mr. Boy was paired with Will’s dad before he teamed up with Will’s mother.  “Incoming!”  A voice shouted, bringing me back to the real world.  The whole room shook, the lights went out.  A green light caught my attention.  “Oh, look.  He does glow.”  Magenta said in a very bored voice.  “I told you.”  Zach countered proudly.

The 'Mad Science' teacher came in.  “Greetings.  Little misfire in the Mad Science Lab.  No need to panic, unless you're a single-celled organism.”  They explained.  I would hate to experience what he meant by that.  “Mr. Medulla, we in Hero Support are trained never to panic.”  Mr. Boy said… From the pipe on the ceiling.  The pipe snapped.  “My bad.  I'll get the nurse… Unless she's injured.”  Medulla muttered, leaving.  I got up quickly, checking the teacher.  “Are you okay, Mister Boy?”  I asked, helping him get up.  Oddly… I felt something pass through me when I touched his arm to help him up.  “Yes.  Thank you.  Mrs… Munroe.  Munroe… Are you Storm's kid?”  He asked.  I nodded slowly, sitting back down.
