How else did my dad get them to come before?  My parent’s room looked just as normal as before.  A sharp sound echoed through the room.  I whined, covering my ears quickly.  Though the sound stopped quickly.  I looked around again, the room was different.  It was pitch black… And I wasn’t alone anymore.  Xavier was here as well.  But… How was that possible?  What had even happened?  “Don’t worry, nothing bad is happening.”  He tried assuring me.

I nodded slowly.  “What is this place?”  I asked.  Xavier chuckled lightly.  The room shifted again.  Now we were in some kind of lab or something.  There was a giant dome or satellite of some kind.  “Welcome to Cerebro.”  The professor told me.  Cerebro?  Like the brain?  “With this, I can find any mutant, or someone with superpowers, as long as they don’t have a countermeasure.”  The professor continued.  Anywhere?  “That’s how you knew I wanted to talk to you?”  I asked.  He nodded.  That… was actually kind of cool.  He could see into anyone’s mind.

“Sky high was threatened.  Our neighborhood was attacked.  Will and I are the only ones left there.  That’s only because we weren’t there when there was another attack.  Otherwise, we might have been taken as well.”  I started explaining.  The professor nodded.  “Do you know who, or what, the threat was about or sent by?”  He asked.  I shook my head.  “No, we just know whoever it is, has enough knowledge to make an army of robots, and has found a way to make some kind of disc that blocks our abilities,”  I replied.

That seemed to trigger more concern.  “They could block your abilities from working?”  to that, I nodded and somewhat growled in response.  “It’s some kind of disk.  The wires attached to it run inside and along the outside.  Will touched the wires by accident and lost his powers for a few moments.  We think that’s how the robots were able to stop everyone.”  I explained quickly.  Then I got another idea.

“I was thinking maybe you could help us find a way to counteract the wires in some way.  So we can help the others and not become vulnerable if they were to try cutting our powers off again.”  I added.  The Professor nodded.  “May I see the disk?”  He asked.  I nodded, holding it out.  “This is it, just be careful with the wires.”  I tried warning him.  The Professor gasped after a moment, making the room fade away.  Leaving me back in my parent’s room.

He must have gotten shocked by the wires!  “Shoot,”  I muttered.  I half growled.  Without someone to help figure this disk out-wait, where was the disk?  I didn’t have it anymore.  It must have transferred somehow.  I left the room to find Will.  He was still waiting downstairs.  “They’re back outside.”  He said simply.  I moved to the window to check.  Will was right.  Those robots were outside again.  They must have been looking for us.  I growled softly again.  “They’re looking for us.  They know there were supposed to be two more people.”  I hissed, letting my eyes light up after a moment.  There was no way we were going down without a fight.

A crash echoed from upstairs.  They got in already?  “Make sure they don’t get in the front door.  I’m going to check on our visitor.”  I told Will quickly.  He nodded.  I went to the kitchen silently, turning the sink on so I had water, taking out the Devil’s Ivy I had still.  I knew I could use two elements at once, but not for an extended amount of time.  There was a bit of shuffling as I went upstairs.  I could pick up some muttered words in a room.  Either this was a robot that could talk… Or someone else is in the house now.  If that was the case… How did they get in?

None of the windows weren't open, and they didn’t break one to get in.  I would have heard them break the glass.  I somewhat sounded like they were hurt or stuck somehow.  I check Laura’s and my rooms first.  There was nothing.  So that only left our parent’s room.  I half growled, pulling the water from the sink up to where I was.  Keeping it flowing in a stream around my waist, mostly at least.  There was a slight grunt before something was said in another language.  I peeked into the room…
