“Angel… You're with Royal Pain?!”  I asked.  Angel smiled.  “Well, of course.”  She replied, pointing the ray gun at me, before lowering it.  “You know, you're not even worth using this thing.  You've got no way to fight me.”  She started.  I took another step back.  A jolt of pain shot up my leg.  I whined.  Something passed through me, it felt awful.  I felt myself sinking to the ground.  Why wasn't I healing already?  Angel laughed at me again.  “What- What did you do to me?”  I whined.  Angel put her hand under my chin, making me look her in the eyes.  “You don't know anything, do you?”  She sneered.

Angel took a few steps back suddenly.  “What's going on here?”  A voice asked.  I whined softly, trying to stand but falling again.  “W-Warren?”  I muttered.  A hand touched my shoulder lightly.  Angel took a few steps back, looking down the hall.  She was trying to get away.  I growled softly.  “S-she's got The P-Pacifier.”  I warned him.  Angel sighed.  “You just couldn't keep your mouth shut, could you?  Now I have to get rid of both of you.”  She snarled.  I felt Warren's body temperature change, but he didn't use his power.  He couldn't fight Angel if she had The Pacifier.  There was something else wrong here.  I wasn't healing anymore.  Angel… She didn't just mimic someone's power…  I growled softly, standing straight.  I took a few breaths to steady my voice again.

“You're a Siphon.”  I said, recalling what Mr. Boy told us about them.  Angel chuckled.  “Of course I am.  Power replication doesn't exist, not officially, of course.”  She admitted.  Warren growled again.  I pushed his hands away lightly, taking a step forward.  “A Siphon can only take away one aspect of or power from one person at a time.”  I observed.  Angel sighed.  “I told her we had to watch you too, but no, she insisted that advanced healing wouldn't be a problem for our plans.  Turns out, you're a smart alec as well.”  She muttered to herself.

Warren was looking between Angel and me.  I felt something change again, before Angel completely vanished.  I gasped, taking a step back towards Warren without thinking.  “Where'd she go?”  I mattered.  There was someone else in the hallway now.  “What the heck?”  The person realized, looking at their hands.  I heard Angel's laugh, something kicking me from behind.  “She's invisible!”  I exclaimed, getting back up.

The person ran, probably confused or scared.  Warren turned in a slow circle.  A locker flew open, followed by one across the hall.  The sound of metal slamming against each other hurt my ears.  I covered them for a moment, before realizing that was what Angle wanted me to do.  I growled, wincing as another door swung open.  I listened closely.  Angel was wearing heels.  “Why is she doing this?”  Warren asked.  I kicked out, hitting something.  Angel grunted.  “Lucky shot.”  She admitted.  I growled.  “Angel knows my hearing is better than normal.  All of my senses are.  She's trying to make me lose focus.”  I explained quickly, ducking.

Warren shot a fireball behind me but didn't hit anything.  A puff of smoke drifted to the side.  Of course!  “The smoke moves wherever she does.”  I muttered.  I looked around quickly.  There was a fountain.  I looked at my hands recalling how the water seemed to react when I wanted it to before.  I went over to the fountain quickly.  Before I even pressed the button, water shot out of the faucet.  I looked at Warren.  “How big can you make one of those?”  I asked.  Warren smirked.  “I haven't tested that yet.”  He replied.  Well, guess we were going to find out.

I looked back at the fountain.  “Hope there's enough in here.”  I muttered, closing my eyes and trying to focus.  I felt something shift, opening my eyes.  Everything looked brighter for a moment.  It quickly faded.  I should figure out what that light meant.  Warren grunted, shooting another fireball.  How do I do this now?  I lifted one hand lightly.  Water came from the faucet.  I smiled softly.  “Better start that thing now.”  I warned.  I pulled my hands back, rolling them over in a circle.  Water poured from the fountain slowly at first, then quicker.  How was this possible?!  I walked back slowly, drawing the water into a circle.  I felt Warren making his ball of fire.  I shifted the water closer.  Angel gasped.  “Impossible!”  She shrieked.

“Now!”  I shouted.  Warren and I threw the water and fire together.  The heat was immense, but it had the right effect.  The hall filled with smoke.  I coughed a few times, trying to slow my breathing to stop stirring the smoke.  “Warren?”  I asked softly.  “I'm here.  What was that?”  He replied.  I moved to look around slowly.  “Just look for the smoke to move somewhere either of us are at.”  I said softly.  The smoke shifted in front of me.  I kicked out, but the smoke disappeared.  Something threw me back into Warren, knocking us both down.

“Runaarikkusumanrō. Anata wa sekai de nani o shite imasu ka? (Luna Alix Munroe.  What in the world are you doing?)”  Someone said.  I froze, my eyes watering.  But Angel took the Pacifier…  “Okāsan? (Mom?)”  I asked.  My mom walked out slowly.  Her eyes faded from white to her normal brown.  I heard a locker open, turning to face it.  The little bit of smoke left drifted towards my mom.

“Okāsan, kiwotsukete! (Mom, be careful!)”  I shouted.  I saw Angel appear, right next to my mother.  I gasped.  My mom froze, before collapsing.  Angel laughed.  I ran over to my mom.  “What- what's happening, Star?”  My mom managed to get out.  I looked back at Warren, who gathered another fireball.  “Kanojo wa saifondesu, okāsan. Kanojo wa watashino tomodachi da to omotte imashitaga, kanojo wa tada watashi o tsukatte imashita. Kanojo wa oshaburi o nusumi, anata no chikara o tsukatte nigeyou to shimashita. (She's a Siphon, mom.  I thought she was my friend but she was just using me.  She stole the Pacifier and she's using your power to try and get away.)”  I explained, looking around.  Angel was looking at her hands.

Her eyes lit up.  “Now, what were you saying about stopping me?”  She teased.  A strong burst of wind cut through the hall.  I slipped, losing my footing, and fell back.  Warren tried lighting up, but the wind kept putting his flames out.  I growled, standing up slowly.  I looked at where that piece of vine I had landed.  It was right behind Angel.  I turned my hand over, and the vine started sprouting again.  I looked back at Warren, who hadn't noticed yet.  If I could get Layla's attention, maybe she could find us some help.  I pushed my hand forward slightly, the vine grew in that direction.  Angel shot a bolt of lightning towards the lights, sending the hallway into nearly complete darkness.

I growled.  Only one way to help now.  I knew Warren would keep my mom safe.  Angel was using the cover to get away.  I ran after her, picking the vine up as I passed it.  I heard a yelp as she passed some students.  I stopped.  It was Will and the others.  “Angel is working for Royal Pain.  She stole the Pacifier after they changed my mom back to siphon her powers and get away.  Warren and I tried stopping her but she kept switching who she was siphoning until my mom showed up.  If we don't stop her, everyone will be stuck as a baby.”  I told them all quickly.  We ran outside.  Angel was just waiting there for us.  “Oh look.  The sidekick had to get help.  Too bad that won't work either.”  She chastised.  Angel was hovering just above us.

I looked at the vine I had.  “Where'd you get that?”  Layla asked.  I looked at her.  “I don't know.”  I replied.  The vine grew as I turned my other hand over.  Layla gasped.  Will flew up, trying to grab The Pacifier.  Angel shot him down, quite literally.  She made more lightning, covering the grass with burns.  Will got hit again, Layla going to check on him.  I followed.  Devil's Ivy could handle the heat from a lightning strike.

It was pretty hard to kill after all.  I put it down, making it spread and grow until it encircled Layla and Will.  “Luna, what are you doing?”  Layla questioned.  Angel was still pounding the ground with lightning.  One bolt hit a few feet from us.  I grunted.  “Keeping you guys safe.  It's my fault all of this happened and I'm going to fix it.”  I replied, making a shield around them and closing it off.  I flicked my wrist, sliding a thin piece of paper through a small crevice where Will was in the vines.

Angel chuckled.  “Oh, I see the sidekick is trying to be a Hero.  How… senseless.”  She muttered.  I growled.  “I thought you were my friend.  I thought we would help each other.”  I started, walking forward.  I clenched my hands.  Angel laughed.  “Wow, you were just that desperate.  I'm nobody's friend.  I just used you to get closer to Will and the others like Royal Pain wanted me to.”  She explained.  I growled softly.  The grass… I turned one hand over slowly, the grass growing with each movement.  Angel flew down slightly.  “Do you think growing grass is gonna help her, Layla?”  She accused her.  I forced a laugh.  “It's not her.”  I said, pushing my hands forward.
