So we started heading up.  First going up through the clouds so nobody below saw us.  Anyone that did see us might think we were a bird or plane, hopefully.  Even so, we had to be very careful.  Please tell me we weren’t going to be too late.  Not only were our parents taken, so were other students and Ron.  We had to find a way to help all of them before things were taken too far and someone got hurt.  The sun was at its peak when the clouds broke to reveal Sky High.  I sighed.  “We found it,”  Will said.  I nodded.  “I’ll let the others know as soon as we land,”  I replied.

So we flew down to the school.  I was very glad to be back on solid ground.  Well, floating, solid ground at least.  I pulled the burner phone out, dialing.  Good thing they were linked to one another.  “Hey, what’s up?”  Layla answered nonchalantly.  I shook my head lightly.  “Will and I found the school.  We’re about to head in and look for Principal Powers.”  I said.  I heard Zach in the background.  “Okay.  We haven’t found anything new.  Good luck.”  Layla replied.

I ended the call and put the burner phone away again.  The school looked empty though.  Was anyone here?  There was a chance nobody was here and we just wasted our time finding the school.  Either way, I put my hood up to cover my hair.  I raised one hand, waving it in front of us slowly while we got to the front doors.  Which allowed fog to start forming.  “Better safe than not.  We don’t know if the school was attacked.”  I explained before Will could ask.

Will nodded.  “Makes sense I guess.  But what about if they think we’re the ones attacking?”  He responded.  I shrugged, being careful not to walk into the wall.  I couldn’t see through the fog.  Even if I was the one making it.  It meant I had to be just as careful as Will, or anyone else the fog covered in that fact.  It was a good thing Will and I knew our way around the school.  The fog kept us from seeing where everything was.  Though it didn’t keep us from hearing anything.

A door opened slowly before someone ran right past Will.  I winced.  Whoever that was, ran right into the lockers.  It sounded like a pretty hard impact too.  I waved my hand again to dissipate the fog.  Which showed… Mr. Boy?  I half whined, going to help him up.  “Are you okay Mr. Boy?”  Will asked.  I let a different feeling pass through me, which was my healing being transferred to the teacher.  Mr. Boy must have recognized Will’s voice.

“Mrs. Monroe, Mr. Stronghold.  How did you two get here?”  The disoriented teacher asked.  I let his arm go after feeling nothing else wrong.  “Mr. Boy, Will and I can fly.  Well, Will can fly while I can move the wind to hover.”  I explained.  Mr. Boy nodded.  “Very well.  Why did you come here of all places?”  He continued.  I met Will’s eyes for a moment.  “We wanted to talk to Principal Powers about the threat against Sarah High.  Our neighborhood was attacked and our parents were taken.”  I answered.

That seemed to worry Mr. Boy a lot more than us showing up here when the school was closed.  He nodded though.  “Very well.  It’s a good thing nothing else happened.  Where are the other kids?”  Mr. Boy asked while leading me and Will to where Principal Powers was.  Which, surprisingly, was a part of the school I don’t think any of the students knew about.  The area kind of reminded me of The Sanctuary Will and his parents had at their house.  It must have been in case of an attack on the school.  The area was big enough for most of the school to fit.

Principal Powers met us before we went too far back.  “What are you two doing here?”  She asked.  The other teachers were here as well.  They all had seemed to be ready for an attack.  “We wanted to know about the threat against the school,”  Will answered.  Again, there was a new level of concern in her eyes.  “What happened?”  Powers asked.  She sounded more worried.

“Our neighborhood was attacked.  Our parents are missing.  The bus that usually comes crashed down crushed.  We managed to get the camera system.  The students on the bus and Ron were taken by some force of bots.  They had a mechanism that prevented their powers from working.”  I recounted quickly.  Powers nodded.  Something else had happened.  Something else had gone wrong that the teachers were this concerned about.  But what was it?
