The new student (Warren x oc)

Will took a step forward.  “My parents already had a suit made for me.  It's in The Sanctuary.”  He explained.  I nodded.  “Then grab it.  It shouldn't tear if it's similar to what your dad wears.  We can modify it if we need to.”  I replied.  Laura got everyone's attention again.  “Okay, meet at Luna's and my house once you have everything.  We'll make some suits quickly and then start getting ready to look for everyone's parents.”  She declared.

So, we started getting ready.  I know our mom had a spare suit.  Maybe I could modify that and use it.  Laura told me she already had a suit as well.  I guess that was good.  It would probably be difficult to make one for her anyway.  “Do we think we can make this work?”  I asked, taking out our mom's backup suit.  Laura got up from the bed, looking at the suit for a few moments.

“Maybe.  It's a little big but it probably wouldn't wear down too much.  Since you and mom already have similar powers.”  She clarified.  Someone locked on the door lightly.  It was Warren.  “Everyone else is downstairs.”  He told us.  I nodded.  Wait… We had to make Warren a suit too then.  “Okay.  I'll tell Layla to come up.  We can start with her and figure the rest out from there.”  Laura said to me.

We ended up trying to match everyone's suit to their power while also trying to make ourselves look like a team.  Ethan and Magenta were able to come.  Those were probably the hardest two to make.  Since Magenta needed a suit that would morph with her and Ethan needed one he could easily manipulate along with his form.  We made a few modifications to Will's suit so that the color matched the other suits as well.  We all had a common color.  Mostly a lighter blue, grey and white.

Layla's suit was probably the only one that didn't match the others.  We had to keep hers mostly green.  Since her power was mostly plant-related.  But we managed to add a little bit of the light blue to represent water.  It looked pretty good.  Though Layla was the one doing most of the designs.  Will's suit was pretty simple to do.  It was already mostly blue and white.  So all we did was add some grey and change the shape of his mask slightly.

Zach's suit just had to glow with him, so it wasn't that hard.  Laura's didn't have to be changed very much.  Just had to add a little bit of light blue to it as well.  We ended up basing my suit off of my mom's back up one instead of changing it.  We kept the basic principle of it.  The boots and fabric wouldn't burn up.  But I opted to use a cloak instead of a mask and cape.  With the hood up, you couldn't see my face as much.  And I could easily slip a mask on if I had to.  The mask somewhat resolved a normal mask in shape, but it was only white.  The boots were shorter and the suit itself wasn't tight.  But it looked pretty good.

Warren's suit just had to be fireproof.  We didn't put any blue on his suit since water was his opposite.  While we were finishing everything up, Layla came up to me again.  “Here, just one more thing.”  She said, holding something out for me.  I took it carefully.  It was the necklace I wore for homecoming.  But it was smaller now.  “I made it into a bracelet for you,”  Layla explained.  I looked at the charm.  The heart-shaped flame represented so much.

Layla helped me put it on.  The sleeves on my suit didn't cover it up completely, but it wouldn't be too noticeable otherwise.  “That's everything now, isn't it?”  I assumed.  Layla nodded.  We headed back downstairs to meet back up with everyone else.  Now we really had to figure out where to start looking.  All we had was that boot Laura had gotten, some footprints, and a very crumpled Sky High bus.  Ethan wanted to check the bus out for any other clues.

“You know what?  I bet the bus had a tracking system in the backboard.  It might have been recorded when it got attacked.  Maybe it caught what happened to Ron.”  Ethan speculated.  I looked around again.  “Okay, well how do we get to the dashboard?  Would you be able to know what it looks like even if it is broken up?”  I asked.  Ethan nodded.  Guess we had a start then.  Maybe Will could 'unfold' the bus?  But he could also also get burned or cut from the metal.
