“Well, depending on if the name is Angelo-Saxon or just older English, the name could mean ‘Hunter’ or ‘Child of Shadows.’  I didn’t always know about my abilities, but I’ve always looked for more information than most people care to.”  I explained.  That earned a nod from Kai and Sarah.  Though Draven seemed to growl slightly

“So what if you know history?  You should know how to use your abilities properly at this point.”  He growled.  His pupils turned to slits, prompting me to stand up.  Draven’s form shifted… Straight into a wolf.  It was a black wolf, larger than normal.

The wolf growled, his ears pointing straight back.  “Draven, come on man.  Calm down.”  Kai tried saying.  I growled lightly.  Guess Draven had anger issues or something.  I glanced around for a moment.  There was a window nearby.  Should probably make sure nothing inside was damaged… It would have to work I suppose.

The moment Draven lunged at me, I let my eyes light up and jumped forward to catch him.  The impact made me step back for a moment before I took another step forward.  It was a good thing I’d already expected the guy to be heavy.

I was able to throw him back… and through the window.  Which made a bunch of kids outside scatter.  Kai and Sarah seemed surprised.  I leaped up a bit and through the window to catch up to Draven.  Did he just turn into a wolf, or was there more he could turn into?

Either way, he didn’t have to try and attack me.  I waved one hand to make the wind pick up a bit, though paused after a moment.  Draven was human again… And he was bleeding.  I pushed both hands out to stop the wind and made my eyes dim down again.  Whining a bit, I went over and crouched down next to him.

Draven instantly growled at me, attempting to move away.  He was cut in multiple different places and bleeding.  I could hear several other kids coming closer now.  Shoot, what did I do this time?  I let my eyes light up again, forcing walls from the ground to rise.  Causing Draven and me to be cut from sight.  There were multiple gasps in shock.  Including one from Draven behind me.  “How?”  He asked, his breathing was kind of rough.  I turned back to him, bending down again.

“I just can, okay?  Now stay still for a few moments.”  I told him, putting my hand on his shoulder.  Letting the, now somewhat, familiar sensation run through me.  I felt weakened for a moment before it faded.  Draven moved away from me after I lifted my hand.  Checking where he had been bleeding just a few moments ago.  “The heck?  How did you do that?”  He asked quickly.  I sighed.  “I guess I somehow inherited part of my dad’s abilities and some of my mom’s abilities, but they are altered a bit.”  I tried explaining.

Draven tried to stand.  He was still hurt.  “Sorry, I can’t control it sometimes.  I can’t access the full extent of that ability yet.  I don’t even know the full extent of them.  I didn’t mean to hurt you that much.  I just didn’t want too many people getting hurt.”  I explained.

Draven grunted a bit.  “And here I thought you’d get scared by a shapeshifter.”  He somewhat sighed.  I raised one hand slowly, letting the walls drop.  Which only showed that there were a lot more people than I had thought.  I paused for a moment before helping Draven up, even if he didn’t want me to.

“What happened here?”  Someone asked.  They went over to Draven, and he let her check him out.  “Just a misunderstanding.  Draven got mad and shifted.”  Sarah explained.  Draven grunted a bit, taking a few steps.  “Then how in the world did he end up out the window?”  A student asked, stepping up.  They had actual wings, it looked like.

Not exactly like an angel’s wings.  It almost seemed like they had two sets of wings.  Grey in color rather than white though.  I raised one hand for a moment.  “That would have been me.  I threw him out the window so nobody was injured and nothing inside was damaged.”  I recounted calmly.  There were a few murmurs in reply to the statement.

I could make out different theories, sighing.  This was one of the reasons why I was hesitant to look around and see other students here.  I took a few steps back.  I did not want this much attention on me after messing something up.  There were just too many people around.  I made the wind blow again, which just made them all look around.  So I was able to duck past everyone that was there quickly.  Finding myself by a water fountain.  It was a lot quieter here at least.  Though no doubt that would end very soon.

With people moving away from where Draven and I had just been, more than a few were sure to come in this direction.  But at least I had a few moments of peace.  I could pick up a few conversations heading this way already.  But they weren’t too close yet.  I took a breath slowly, listening to the water run down from the fountain.

It was a calming sound, soothing to be exact.  There were downsides to having enhanced senses.  You couldn’t help but hear everything.  Yet… Listening to things like water running made practically everything else fade away.

I closed my eyes after a moment, just listening to the water falling.  Everything else literally started to fade away.  Until something hit me from behind and sent me into the water.  The water was cold too.  I sat up quickly, gasping.  There was a light chuckle.

It took a moment to get out of the fountain.  Though of course, Draven was there.  He looked very proud of himself at the moment.  I sighed, ringing my hair out after a moment.  “That’s what you get.”  He told me.

I took a breath, pushing my hands away from me a bit.  Which brought the water away from my clothes and hair.  Which also made Draven drop his little smirk in the process.  I huffed a bit, moving the water back into the fountain.  “I thought you could only have one mutation.”  He speculated.  I smiled a bit.  “You can, but you can also have a power that has different aspects.  Though, where I’m from, a few people have two powers.”  I replied gladly.
