Allison was the first to leap forward out of the water, gasping, followed by Stiles and Scott. I quickly rushed in front of Stiles as they all got out of the tubs.
"I saw it," Scott exclaimed. "I know where it is."
"We passed it. There's-there's a stump...this huge tree- well, it's not huge anymore, it was cut down-but it's still big, though! Very big!" Stiles added.
"It was the night we were looking for the body-"
"Yeah, the night you were bitten by Peter."
"I was there, too, in the care with my mother," Allison spoke. We almost hit someone."
Scott looked at her, stunned. "It was me-you almost hit me." Then he turned to the rest of us. "We can find it."
"What?" Allison asked when she saw the look on my face.
"You guys were out a long time..." Isaac said hesitantly.
"How long is a long time?" Stiles demanded.
"...Sixteen hours," I responded.
"We've been in the water for sixteen hourse???" Scott said incredulously.
Deaton nodded. "And the full moon rises in less than four."
After delivering the shocking news, I handed out towels and they tried to relax a little. Isaac sat next to Allison and I took the towel from Stiles' hands, wrapping it around him and resting my chin on his shoulder. Once they recovered, Scott told us he needed to get back to Deucalion, setting off a chain of reactions.
"No dude-you are not going back with them," Stiles stated firmly.
"I made a deal with Deucalion-"
"Does anyone else think that sounds a lot like a deal with the devil?" Stiles interrupted and I rolled my eyes.
"Why does it matter anyway?" Isaac asked.
"Because I still don't think that we can beat Jennifer without their help," Scott explained.
"He trusts you more than anyone," Allison said, looking at Deaton. "Tell him he's wrong."
"I'm not so sure he is..." Deaton said. "Circumstances like this sometimes require that you align with people you'd normally consider enemies."
"So, we're gonna trust him- the guy that calls himself 'Death, Destroyer of Worlds'- we're gonna trust that guy?"
"I wouldn't trust him, no," Deaton stated. "But, you could use him to your advantage. Deucalion may be the enemey, but he could also be the bait."
"And besides, we got a Luna Wolf on our side," Stiles announced, pushing me gently in front of him and I blushed.
Deaton sighed. "Do you want me to explain, or do you?"
"You are more experienced," I replied softly.
He gave the shorter version of what he told me and surprisingly, everyone handled it really well. But before they could bombard me with questions, we heard someone enter the clinic. Deaton went to see who it was, and I followed him. It was Ethan.
"I'm looking for Lydia," he told us. Lydia walked to my side.
"What do you want?" she asked.
"I need your help."
"With what?" I demanded.
"Stopping my brother and Kali...from killing Derek."
I wanted to go help, but Deaton told me I couldn't. So, Lydia went with Ethan while the rest of us planned to find the missing parents. Before Stiles and I left the clinic, I pulled Deaton aside.
