*Author's Note: So sorry it took me so long to update. School's been rough because of COVID-19. But I will try my best to update as often as I can. Thanks for your patience and enjoy!
For the rest of the week, school was cancelled after the incident...which was a good thing, because it gave me some time to talk with Deaton about what happened. I was currently sitting on the cold, metal surface of an examination table, my shirt lifted to my chest as Deaton tended to my wound from the Alpha. He was cleaning them up with a white cloth, dabbing occasionally with a cotton ball soaked with antiseptic.
"Why isn't this healing like it should be?" I asked.
"Because it was from an Alpha. It takes longer to heal. Just be glad he didn't cause any serious damage."
I nodded as he began to wrap a bandage around my body after lathering my wounds with ointment. I sighed in relief. "Thank you."
"No problem. It's what I do." He turned around and began to clean up. "So, tell me again what you did that night, with as much detail as possible."
"Right. Well, first of all, when I was trying to find the Alpha on my own, I was pacing in a classroom, my eyes closed and concentrating on the Alpha. When I opened my eyes, it was if I was looking through the Alpha's eyes. I saw through his red tinted vision. How I broke the connection, I don't understand. But I managed to thwart him away from Scott and Stiles."
"Okay. Go on."
"After I got hurt, I was trying to leave the building so I could get help when I was suddenly filled with fear...but it wasn't me. I felt panic from someone else, from another werewolf. The closer I got to it, the more powerful it felt. That's how I found Scott...now that I think about it, I think it was Scott. I sensed his fear, leading me straight to him."
"Interesting," Deaton said. "Did anything else happen that night?"
"No, that's it," I replied. "What does this mean? What am I?"
"Well, what you've told me has confirmed some of my suspicions," he told me as he turned to face me. "You believe you're some sort of werewolf?"
"Yeah."
"Indeed, you have similar abilities of a werewolf, but you can change your coat color depending on the moon. Black or white. Your eye color as a werewolf is purple. You also have similar abilities to an Alpha, along with these new ones you just described to me. I've only heard this in a few myths, but some say there is a special creature, a powerful alpha female commonly known as a Luna Wolf, ruler of the supernatural. In a regular wolf pack, and alpha female works with the alpha as pack leaders. They are dominant over all the other wolves. The are also the ones to breed and always eat first at kills. The alpha female alone plays a very important role to the pack. She is honored for her power, strategic assertiveness and wisdom. She is the mother of the wolves, making a lot of the decisions within the pack."
"Why are you telling me this? What does this have to do with me?"
"In comparison," he continued, "it as been said that a Luna Wolf acts like an alpha female in a typical wolf pack. She is powerful, strategic, assertive, and wise. She cares for the supernatural in various ways, but she is a protector of both humans and supernatural alike. But no one has ever seen a Luna Wolf rise to power for centuries...because they can become too powerful and destroy everything. They are chosen based on the person and what they can become. I don't understand how they are chosen, but I have found evidence of only five other Luna Wolves that ever existed. Melody Monroe, I think you've been chosen. You've been chosen to be the Mother of the Supernatural, the Protector, Life, Unifier of Worlds, the Chosen Wolf, The Defender of the Weak...The Luna Wolf."
