"Matt and Melody! You're up!" Coach shouted.

We got hooked up to harnesses and began to climb the rock wall before us. I tried to get ahead of Matt, not interested in talking to him, but he easily caught up to me.

"So, uh, Melody. Are you doing anything after school today?" he asked.

"Why do you ask?" I inquired.

"I thought maybe...we could hang out at my place," he explained. "You know, to do homework... get to know each other...that sort of thing."

I quickly reached the top before beginning my descent, stopping by Matt on my way down.

"Sorry," I apologized. "I wish I could, but I have work after school."

"Oh, okay. Another time, then?"

"Yeah."

I zoomed down to the floor, not bothering to wait for him. I unhooked myself and walked over to Stiles and Scott.

"Impressive," Scott said, giving me a high five. "You went up that with ease."

"Thanks," I replied proudly.

"So...what was Matt talking to you about?" Stiles asked. I smelled...jealousy coming from him.

I smiled slyly. "Why do you want to know?"

"Oh...just...curious," Stiles said nervously.

"Why. Do. You. Want. To. Know?" I gently poked him on each word, starting at his chest and ending at his nose, making him go cross-eyed.

"Nevermind. Just...forget it. Forget I even asked," he told me.

I changed tactics, turning to face him, wrapping my arms around his neck, resting them on his shoulders. We were so close, I felt his warm breath on my face.

"Are you...jealous?" I whispered, my lips coming dangerously close to his, taunting him. I watched as he struggled to gather his thoughts.

"Yes...I mean, no?" he quickly corrected, his lips quivering, eager for a kiss.

I smiled victoriously. "I knew it."

I separated from him, leaving Stiles speechless. I watched Allison and Scott continue to climb, until Allison kicked Scott's foot and he fell, almost hitting the floor when the line tensed, catching him. We all laughed at him as Allison came down.

"All right, next two! Stilinski, Erica, let's go! The wall."

Stiles scrambled up the wall with ease while Erica...barely got a few feet off the floor before she began to panic.

"Oh please-"

"Erica? Dizzy?" Coach asked. "Is it vertigo?"

"Vertigo's a dysfunction of the vestibular system of the inner ear," Lydia said snidely. "She's just freaking out."

"Erica..."

"I'm fine," she said, shaking.

"Coach, maybe it's not safe. You know she's epileptic," Allison mentioned.

"Why doesn't anybody tell me this stuff???" Coach exclaimed before turning back to the situation at hand. "Erica, y-you're fine. Just-just kick off from the wall. Th-there's a mat to catch you. Come on."

Erica carefully did so, reaching the floor in safety.

"See? You're fine. You're on the ground. You're all right. Let's go. Shake it off. You're fine."

Afterwards, I tried looking for Erica in the girl's locker room so I could introduce myself, but she wasn't there. Suddenly, I picked up heavy breathing...from the gym. I ran out of the locker room to the gym just as Scott did, and he caught Erica, who fell after attempting the rock wall without a harness. She started to have a panic attack as Allison rushed to us.
