Stiles dropped me off at my house and I slowly entered, exhausted and concerned about Lydia. I passed the living room, about to walk upstairs when I stopped and back tracked, standing in front of the living room. On my sofa once more was Derek Hale.

"Seriously? Do we have to keep doing this? Could you at least give me a heads up the next time you decide to break into my house?"

"You left your door unlocked," he stated innocently.

"Doesn't give you the right to waltz in and make yourself comfortable," I told him, folding my arms.

"I needed to talk to you."

"Could this wait? I sort of have school tomorrow and it's late-" By the look on his face, I knew it couldn't wait. "Fine. What is it this time?"

"I need your help."

"If it's about joining your nonexistant pack, I'm not interested," I said sarcastically.

"Fine. Don't join. You'll regret it."

I rolled my eyes. Derek has been pestering me about joining his pack ever since he became Alpha. I've refused every time he asked, despite our close relationship.

"No, I think I won't."

"Yes, you will."

"No, I won't!" I looked at him straight in the eyes, mine glowing purple. "I can handle myself."

He finally surrendered...for now. "How are you able to resist an Alpha like that?"

"Don't ask me. I have no idea."

"Will you at least meet my newest recruit?"

"Your...what?"

A boy stepped out of the shadows, arms crossed, smiling at me. He was very tall and a very handsome young man with a lean, muscular build. He had dark blonde hair that was slighlty curly, pale white skin and large, deep-set blue eyes. He wore designer jeans, a gray cardigan, a white v-neck and boots. Why are there so many hot guys in this world? Stiles' might have some competition.

He introduced himself. "I'm Isaac Lahey."

"Melody Monroe."

"Like what you see?" Derek teased.

"Shut up!" I sighed. "What do you want from me?"

"You seem to ask me that...a lot."

"Because you always  want something from me. Even though I don't completely understand my abilities, doesn't mean I'm not useful. So, what do you want?"

"I want you to keep and eye on Isaac fro me at school, since I won't be there. He's new, so he'll need to be looked after very carefully.

"Alright. But don't expect me to suddenly want to be part of your pack...because I'll never join as long as I live," I stated calmly. "So, get out of my house."

Trusting that they would leave, I went to my room to get a good nights sleep. I spent my weekend relaxing, working out every once in a while and taking so me long jogs around town. One night, I was in my bathroom, brushing my hair so I could braid it before I went to bed. At that moment, I was overcome by fear...panic. I closed my eyes, searching for the source. When I opened my eyes, I was on a bicycle, riding in the rain. They stopped in an alleyway and I ended the connection. This person was unfamiliar, but it looked like they needed some help. Not bothering to change out of my pajamas, I turned into a black wolf and race to the alleyway. I turned human when I arrived, finding the bicycle lying on the ground. I slowly walked past it, listening for a heartbeat and followed one behind a dumpster. I peeked around the dge, finding Isaac curled up in a ball.
