"Lock it! Lock it!" Scott cried as we rushed into the school.

"Do I look like I have a key?!" Stiles exclaimed as they held the doors shut.

"Grab something!"

"What?"

"Anything!"

I watched Stiles slowly peer out of the door window, staring at the heavy duty bolt clippers he brought to break into the school. And I knew he got an idea.

"No," I told him.

"Yes!"

"Stiles, no! Don't-"

It was too late. He quietly slipped outside, Scott and I watching him. He carefully walked over to the clippers as Scott and I held our breath. Then, I noticed the Alpha crawl out from behind Stiles' jeep, looking right at him before beginning to sprint towards him.

"Run! Stiles! Stiles!" Scott and I shouted frantically.

I opened the door, allowing him in before slamming it closed. Stiles quickly jammed the clippers in the door and we waited for impact...but it never came. We slowly peeked out the window, finding no alpha in site.

"Where is it? Where did it go?" Scott asked frantically.

"I don't know," I replied nervously.

We stepped away from the doors, evaluating our defenses.

"That won't hold, will it?" Scott stated.

"Probably not," Stiles concluded grimly.

A howl echoed outside. We bolted down the hall, the boys running into a nearby classroom, but I kept going straight. I needed to confront the Alpha on my own. I ran to a hallway with lots of windows and allowed my eyes to turn purple, enhancing my abilities as I searched. I spotted it by Stiles' jeep again, but this time, it aggressively opened the hood, pulled out the battery and slammed it shut. Then, it walked out of sight. I immediately ran upstairs to a classroom nearby, pacing back and forth, thinking. I closed my eyes.

"Where could the Alpha be?" I muttered to myself.

When I opened my eyes, I was no longer in the classroom. I was outside the school...on top of the roof. I noticed my vision was tinted red...wait. I wasn't outside, the Alpha was. I was seeing through the Alpha's eyes. And he turned to spot Scott and Stiles walking down a hallway nearby. I blinked, losing the connection as I transformed into a black wolf. I rushed out of the classroom just as the Alpha broke through the window, chasing the boys. I ran past them, charging straight into the Alpha. I managed to push him back into the doors behind him, growling ferociously. He growled in return before leaping over me and going after the boys. I tried to follow, but I lost him. So, I began to track him, trying to sift through all the scents in the school until I locked on his.

Just then, I heard a phone ring. I recognized the ringtone...it was Allison's. Great. I turned back to human and closed my eyes, thinking about the Alpha again, wanting to see through his eyes once more. I opened them, finding my vision tinted red. I watched as the Alpha broke through the floor and dropped down into the lobby where Scott, Stiles, Jackson, Lydia and Allison were fleeing the scene. I broke the connection, transformed and ran as fast as I could to confront him. He was slowly pacing by the chemistry classrooms, back turned to me. I quietly attacked, jumping onto his back and biting down hard. He howled in surprise and pain, violently shaking until I let go, sliding into lockers. Before I could get up, he sank his teeth into my sides, tossing me further down the hall before disappearing. I whimpered in pain as I managed to get on all four feet. I heard blood drip from my side as I limped, trying to get out of the school.

I didn't get very far when I was overcome by the emotion of fear, but it wasn't coming from me... it was from someone else. As I continued on, the fear grew stronger, as if I was getting closer to the source, So I followed it straight to the gym, turning human and stumbling into the doors to see the Alpha on top of Scott.

"Enough!" I roared intensely, the room shaking slightly. Both of them turned to me as I stepped into the shadows, not wanting them to know who I was. "I said enough," I growled, my eyes glowing.

The Alpha started at me for a moment before letting out a piercing howl and quickly leaving. I collapsed to the floor in pain, slowly entering unconsciousness...

"Melody? Melody! Oh, Melody, please wake up! Stiles is gonna kill me-"

I groaned. Someone sighed in relief as my eyes fluttered open to see...

"Scott?"

"You're okay! Thank goodness."

"Are...are you okay?" I asked quietly.

"Yeah, I am now." He paused. "You're the wolf with the purple eyes, aren't you? You- you saved us from the Alpha."

"I knew I couldn't keep it a secret for much longer."

"You are...amazing, Melody. What are you exactly?"

"I...don't know...yet."

I tried to get up, but cried in agony instead. My sides felt like they were burning.

"Whoa, let me help you." He gingerly lifted me up to my feet, acting as my crutch.

"Thanks."

He helped me out of the school, where a panicked Stiles was waiting, pacing near his jeep. When he saw me, relief flashed across his face. Scott walked me down to him before allowing him to completely take over.

"Melody! You're okay...well sort of. Are you...okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just get me to my car before someone notices," I told him as the police started to arrive.

"Don't you need some medical attention-"

"No! I'm...better than I look. Just...help me, okay?"

He silently obeyed, helping me into the drivers' seat before hopping into the passenger seat.

"What happened? Why didn't you follow us? I thought the Alpha got you...I mean, I guess he did... but, you know what I mean."

I sighed. "Can you keep a secret?"

"You're talking to someone who's best friend is a werewolf."

I smiled. "Okay." I looked at him and made my eyes flash purple. And let me just say, his face of shock and realization was priceless.

"You're...her. You're the wolf that keeps saving Scott."

I nodded.

"I can't believe it's you! I mean, I sorta suspected it was you, but-"

I cut him off with a kiss. It was short and sweet on the cheek, but it definitely shut up Stiles. Before anything else happened, Sheriff Stilinski knocked on my window. I gratefully rolled it down as he bent down to see the both of us.

"Just wanted to check in to see if you kids were okay, after this whole Derek Hale thing."

I casually covered my injuries with my arm. "I'm good." I turned to Stiles. "You?"

"All good, pops."

"Good. Come on, Stiles. Let's take your friend Scott home."

"Be right there," he answered as I rolled up the window. I immediately turned to him, concerned.

"What is he talking about? Derek Hale?"

"Oh, uh, quick update. Scott blamed Derek for all the murders that have occurred and told my dad he was the one terrorizing us in the school."

I couldn't believe it. "Are you serious?"

"Yes. But to be fair, it wasn't my idea."

"Get outta here."

"Yes, ma'am."
