TW, PLEASE READ: Once again, some very intense violence is featured in this chapter. This scene is much more disturbing than the last chapter's fight. I would NOT recommend this chapter to anyone triggered by violence like this! If you decide to skip this chapter because of this warning, please DM me and I will gladly give you a summary of this chapter, as it is also incredibly important to the story!

Everyone was silent for a moment. The fighting and yelling all stopped. Had the battle just been put on hold, or did this mark the end of the fight?

Although a terrible threat to The Pack of the Earth had been eliminated, it seemed to still be a lose for everyone.

Aries had been fully conscious, not under Daruk's control at all, for the last few moments of his life. He spent his final minutes in pure agony.

Daruk took a deep breath in, and slowly turned around to Bright Moon.

"...You killed Aries." He told her, but not in his usual scarily cheerful tone. This was a completely new one. Complete coldness and anger.

Bright Moon was completely silent. She was going to pay gravely for this.

"...You understand I've been working to get him in my control my entire life, right?" He was staring right into her soul. "You destroyed my lifelong goal."

"Back up. Get away from her." A voice from behind Bright Moon crept up behind her.

Roscoe, Alpine and Leia stood by her side.

"You know," Alpine chuckled, "Somewhere out there, a tree is working very hard to replace the oxygen you consume. You should go apologize to the poor thing."

"Get away from my daughter." Misa demanded, as she stood with the four of them.

"Our daughter." Daruk growled. "And she just destroyed everything I've worked for my entire life."

Bright Moon opened up her mouth to say something, but couldn't choke any words out.

"You heard them." Wood stood in front of Bright Moon. "Get the hell away from her. She's a shaman. It's completely immoral to hurt someone who can't defend themselves."

"...I'll avenge Aries if it's the last thing I do." Daruk ignored everyone around him. "Your death...it's my new ultimate goal. I'll rip you apart."

"STOP IT! SHUT THE HELL UP!" Roscoe snapped. "SHE JUST SAVED SAKURA! IF SHE HADN'T STOPPED HIM, AN INNOCENT WOLF WOULD HAVE DIED!"

"Speaking of dying, Keaton...!" Perlina pointed out.

Bright Moon slipped out of the crowd with her resources to get to Keaton and do what she could to help him. She was trying so hard to get into shaman mode, but she was shaking so hard that she found it hard to focus.

"...Daruk...I-I basically killed Aries. Bright Moon just finished him off..." He choked as Bright Moon frantically started applying the resources needed for his wounds into him. "If anything, you should be threatening me, not an innocent shaman..."

"I don't care what the hell you did. You're dying anyway, you worthless piece of shit." The emotionlessness in Daruk's tone made him scarier than he ever had been before. "If she had just backed away and let him finish the job...we wouldn't be here right now."

"Shut up. Shut up right now," Wood's voice shook. "No one is at fault here but you."

Alpine scurried over to Bright Moon as everyone else started arguing, trying to help her heal Keaton.

"...You looked badass out there," Alpine whispered.

Although still horrified and beyond stressed, Bright Moon smiled at him. "Thank you..."
