A few months had passed since Loki returned with Fawn, and things had started to calm down. Kiara was quite far into her pregnancy, her pups were expected to arrive any day now. Ragna and Sakura had finally ended their time as trainees and ranked up to hunters, while Jupiter and Roscoe became guard wolves a few weeks back.
Kenya was doing much better. She had become very focused on her training towards becoming a guard wolf, and would spend hours training with Sky or some other wolf who happened to be out.
Tomorrow, Stormjay and Bright Moon would become official shamans. They had studied everything they needed to know about shaman resources and had treated quite a few injuries of wolves in the past that came to them, and had daily check-ins with Fawn for the first few weeks she was in the pack. She seemed to have warmed up to everyone quite a bit, specifically Loki and Wood, whom she had gotten quite close to.
Stormjay and Roscoe had gotten friendly lately, and they were hanging out in the East Forests together at nighttime since Bright Moon, Sky, and Ragna had already fallen asleep, and Jupiter was out doing a nighttime patrol.
"Beautiful night, isn't it?" Roscoe commented. "It's quite cloudy. I bet Wood would've made you a shaman tonight if it was more starry out."
"Hopefully it won't be as cloudy out tomorrow. Would he just reschedule it if stars weren't visible?"
"I would imagine so." Roscoe nodded. "You and Bright Moon are going to make amazing shamans. Remember when Jupiter was sick that one time and you two had him back in shape within two days?"
"Oh, that was mostly Kiara..." Stormjay flattened his ears bashfully.
"Don't be so modest. You're ranking up for a reason!" Roscoe encouraged him.
"I guess so." Stormjay shrugged. "I'm very honored, but I somehow feel unprepared... Bright Moon is ready more so than I am."
"Oh, c'mon. Remember how you healed a cut on Ragna's leg all by yourself while Kiara and Bright Moon were out gathering resources?"
"That's was really easy, though...anyone could do that."
"Wait, uh, speaking of Bright Moon...are you guys a thing yet? I really can't tell anymore."
"...We're friends..." Stormjay blushed.
"Still? Neither of you are gonna do anything about it?"
Stormjay flattened his ears. "I dunno what you're talking about!"
"You know..." Roscoe smirked. "The night you both become shamans is a really good time to ask her out, honestly. If you like her, I mean...assuming you do."
"...I, um...that's not a bad idea."
"Are you gonna do it?"
"Hmm...I'll think about it..."
"Will you, now?" Roscoe snickered. "Well, tell me how it goes, if you end up doing it. Bright Moon seems to be really into you..."

Stormjay, Bright Moon, and Kiara were waiting outside the shaman resources den the very next night, waiting for the ceremony to begin.
"Thanks for everything you've done for us, Kiara." Stormjay smiled.
"Yeah, we couldn't have gotten as far as we are without you." Bright Moon agreed.
"I'm so proud of you both... you'll make amazing shamans, and I hope you two teach everything I've taught you to the next generation of trainees who want to became shamans."
