As Stormjay and Bright Moon were going through the basics of shaman resources, they heard commotion coming from outside.
"Hey, what's all that about?" Bright Moon glared.
"I hope everything's okay." Stormjay flattened his ears. "Should we go check it out?"
"Maybe we should..." Bright Moon sighed, and stood up. She began walking towards the exit of the den, with Stormjay following swiftly behind her. Just as this was happening, Misa and Kiara dashed inside the shaman resources den with what looked like all the pups and trainees in the pack.
"Hey, Misa, is everything alright?" Stormjay asked.
"Yeah, what's going on?" Bright Moon asked in a firm, almost demanding tone.
"I dunno, but all I know is that we gotta stay in here..." Sky shrugged.
"Yeah, these two won't tell us..." Kenya flattened her ears, with a concerned look on her face.
"Oh, good, Stormjay and Bright Moon are already in here..." Kiara let out a deep sigh of relief.
"Mom, what's going on?" Bright Moon ran up to her mother. Misa shook her head. "It's alright, dear. Just do as we say."
Perlina's son, Jupiter, a young trainee with a tannish-brown pelt and white paws ran up to Bright Moon and Stormjay. They didn't know him very well, but he and Kenya were close friends.
"I'm glad you two are in here, I was worried that we wouldn't find you."
"Hey, Jupiter." Bright Moon greeted him. "Do you have any idea what's going on?"
"I dunno, but it's clearly somethin' bad..."
"Yeah, I'm getting a bit worried..." Stormjay sighed.
Jupiter shook his head. "When you're older, you don't got time for fear. You gotta put your pack before your worries..."
"That's good advice." Another trainee spoke up. She was a golden brown she-wolf with yellow eyes. Stormjay had forgotten her name, but they had spoken a few times. She was Jupiter's sister.
"Where's my mom?" Kenya asked Misa and Kiara.
"Your mother's helping to deal with the issue we're having." Kiara explained.
A large, light gray male wolf with scars and injuries all over his body entered the den.
"Stay away from the pups," Kiara warned him. "What could you possibly win from going after the untrained?"
"What could I lose?" He growled.
"I'll tell you what you could lose..." Misa stood tall. "Your life."
Kiara ran over to the pups and trainees. "Look away, little ones! Look away!"
As all the pups and trainees looked away from the scene that was happening as Kiara shielded them, Stormjay was so confused that he needed to see what was happening.
As he looked behind him, he saw the horrible scene that was Misa and that stranger wolf fighting intensely. He happened to look behind him during the exact moment that Misa killed him. He immediately looked away in fear, huddling next to the older trainee who's name he forgot, who proceeded to wrap her tail around the traumatized pup.
"He's down." Misa alerted Kiara.
"Good work, Misa." Kiara dipped her head to Misa. "You're a honorable wolf."
Stormjay heard Evelyn leap into the den. He looked behind him again and saw she was dragging behind an injured wolf, who happened to be her mate.
"Ryusaki!" Kiara gasped. "E-Evelyn, you're both injured badly. You two need to stay here."
