Klaus was sitting alone in a booth of a dined deep in the Appalachians, waiting for Milana to return as he talked on the phone with Elijah. “If you find him, don't hesitate,” Klaus stated before hanging up the phone, just as Milana made her way back to their table with a soft smile on her lips.

“Hope is down for the count,” the brunette told him with an amused smile as she sat in the seat opposite him. Tracy had given Milana Mary’s number and while the older woman and Milana weren't on good terms the woman adored Hope so she immediately agreed to look after Hope.

“She fell asleep as soon as Mary started the car. I doubt she'll miss either of us much over the next few days,” Milana joked before looking down at the piece of paper which had been ripped out of a small notebook, a list of addresses written on it that the two of them had made earlier.

“So...which of these Kingmaker offices should we hit up first? There's ten of them?” Milana asked her fiancé.

Klaus stared at his fiancée worriedly, and after a moment, Milana finally noticed and looked up at him with a frown of confusion. “What?”

Klaus lookdd back at her anxiously before sighing. “Lucien has revealed his true nature. He's taken Freya,” the original revealed, causing Milana's eyes to widen in shock as she processed the news.

“And now, it seems her rescue depends on Elijah working with my ever-reliable brother Finn,” Klaus finished with a troubled look on his face. Milana studiec Klaus for a moment, realising what he was trying to say.

“And you want to go back to New Orleans to head up the hunt?” the Ramirez woman concludex with a sigh. Klaus looked hesitant for a moment, clearly torn between their two different missions, and though Milana was a bit disappointed, she nodded her head in agreement.

“Fine. You go. I'm sticking with Kingmaker, though,” Milana informed Klaus that she wouldn't be going back home with him just yet. “Lucien's working very hard to cover up these wolf kidnappings, and I want to know why.”

She grabbed the list of addresses and keys from the table before standing up. “I'll see you back at home,” Milana reassured him, before she leaned down to kiss his cheek, before turning to walk away.

However, before she could leave, Klaus reached out and grab her by the wrist, stopping her. “No.”

“The wolves, Freya's abduction. . .it can't all be coincidence. We'll let my brothers pursue the obvious path,” Klaus stated as he smiled weakly at Milana, who looked surprised by his sudden change of mind.
