The blonde man stared down at the body of the brunette with with anger in his eyes. When his brother had called him this morning to inform him of Hayley's passing, the first thing he did was head straight over. He did not believe it at first but without even having to listen for a heartbeat he knew by how pale her skin was, she was gone. He had noticed her getting sick the past few days but she had said it was a cold. A cold that would go away in a few days. The cold was definitely gone now.

The door to the room bursted open and Sophie Devereaux and Sabine got pushed in by his brother and sister. Klaus turned his head to the two witches. "Tell me which one of you two did this?" Klaus asked looking between the two. Sophie looked at Hayley's lifeless body that was spread on the bed. She did the spell three days ago, but she didn't think the girl would pass so quickly.

"Is she dead?" Sabine asked with wide eyes. This was news to her. "Yes, she is."
Klaus sped towards Sophie who flinched at Klaus' closeness.

"You promised that she wouldn't die. If she's dead, why aren't you?" Rebekah asked the witch.

Sophie gulped, her heart slowly starting to pick up pace. Klaus grabbed the girl by the neck and started to squeeze. "If you don't tell me what you did, I'll snap your neck!"

"Please don't!" she squeaked out.

"Why should he not? You killed his child," Elijah countered as he glared at the other witch. Sophie started to choke as Klaus' hand tightened around her neck. Sophie looked toward Hayley's body. She had promised Hayley she wouldn't tell anyone of their plans, but she had to be alive to be able to protect the girl. She couldn't die like this.

Sophie closed her eyes as her hands grabbed on to Klaus' arm. "K-Klaus," she tried to breathe out. But unfortunately the man wasn't listening to her. He really was about to kill her.

"The baby. . .the baby isn't dead!"

"Do not lie!"

"Hay-Hayley asked. . .me to do. . .to do a spell. . .to save the baby," Sophie said, squeaking out the words as she gripped on to Klaus's hand. He was cutting off her air supply.

"Brother, put her down," Elijah told his younger brother. Klaus glared at the woman before letting go. Sophie fell to the ground, holding her throat and coughing.

"What do you mean by Hayley asked you to do a spell?" Rebekah asked the witch as she stepped forward. "Hayley knew she was dying, so she came to me desperately to seek a way to save her baby," Sophie explained. The three siblings looked at Sophie as if she was lying to them. "I told her I knew of a spell from a coven that us almost extinct now."
