It had now been almost eight weeks since Milana had been trapped in New Orleans. Tracy had been able to leave to go back home and bring Milana's belongings with her but the Ramirez girl was prohibited to leave the city. While she did try to escape on some occasions especially after Hayley's funeral that was held seven weeks ago, Milana was always caught by Klaus. The man had grown tired of her that he had given her a bodyguard to keep her watch and that bodyguard was Elijah.
Elijah gave her some freedom by letting her actually outside the house but she couldn't go into the city. If they learned about her, things would get ugly, not for them but for the vampires in the Quarter.
Milana's not so visible bump was now very visible for the whole world to see. It had felt like the baby was now growing ten times faster. The baby had to be at least four months already, so it wasn't that shocking that now that she was getting her nutrients from a healthy body that she was growing faster now.
The pregnancy belly made everything more real for Milana. She was expecting a child, a child that wasn't even hers.
The brunette slammed the last carton of milk on the table.Her cravings lately had mostly been milk and eggs with chocolate syrup. It was absolutely disgusting but for some reason she actually liked it. She especially loved cottage cheese and mustard with a waffle. She could not get enough of it.
Elijah entered the kitchen with a grocery bag. She smiled up at the man, grateful. “Did you buy milk?” Milana asked the man. He took out the two cartons of milk and placed one in front of her.
“Thank you. You're a lifesaver.”
“Anything to keep you and the baby happy.” He unpacked the bag before putting all the other groceries away.
“Well, let me tell you, this baby is the happiest when she gets that milk.” Milana poured the milk into the glass before sipping it. It felt like she was being deprived of it.
“I will unfortunately not be able to be here tonight because I am needed elsewhere but if anything happens call me and I will be here,” Elijah told the girl.
Milana nodded, biting into the waffle. Elijah frowned as he took in the cottage cheese and mustard on the waffle. The girl raised a brow, “Don't judge.”
“I am not,” Elijah said. Milana took another bite before placing it down. “Also don't have to worry about me, Elijah. I can take care of myself and besides Tracy said she would be back in a few hours,” she told him. Elijah raised a brow at the mention of Tracy. The girl had a massive crush on Elijah and while he didn't give her the time of day, he was still polite whenever she's in his presence.
