Milana opened the small pink box that Hayley had left for her. She had decided to finally see what was inside. The girl's eyes fell on two letters; one addressed to Milana and the other one to her unborn baby. Hayley made sure to write it all down before she died. She knew she should keep the letter safe for when the baby gets older.
The Ramirez girl let out a breath as she picked up her letter. She opened it and read over the letters.

y now you must have already found out that you're pregnant with Klaus' and my baby. I know you feel like your life is suddenly ruined because of this little problem. But there is a reason why I specifically chose you. I found out a week ago about my family in the bayou. . .but I also learned of the Blackwood wolf pack. It's almost like a side branch pack of the crescent wolf clan.
You're the daughter of the alpha and even though I had a sister who could take care of my daughter I knew without a doubt you would love and care for him or her. Your blood runs through my child's, so you're family.
I'm kind of getting ahead of myself now but, I want to let you know of Kiara Wallis. She's the witch-werewolf who cursed me. She wants to kill you and my child because she knows my child will be of the Labonair bloodline. She's afraid my child will stand in her way.
Milana, I know we've only known each other for four hours but you're the only one I know and trust who will be able to love my child like their your own. Please, take care of my baby.

Milana didn't know how she should feel after reading the letter. Hayley knew she would get attached to this baby. Milana placed her hand on her swollen stomach. “Your mom trusts me enough to let me take care of you. And I will. I will protect you with my life, even if it's the last thing I do.“
Milana closed the letter just as Klaus neared the room but he stopped at the doorway. Klaus saw the letter the girl had in her hand and he smiled. “Is that a letter from a suitor of yours from Chicago?” Klaus asked, crossing his arms over his chest. Milana pushed the letter into the box before closing it.
